by Sara Cook

Hi everyone.  I have a halloween scene card using the Nested Globe die set to create a window to the Creepy Cabin with bats and ghosts flying around.

Windows:

Take the 3 grey/brown gradient Earth Neutral and trim down to A2 size.  Keep the scraps.  Take the matching sized Nested Globe die to the  and center of the darkest color card panel and die cut out the center.   Repeat on the other 2 panels with the next 2 size Nested Globe dies.  Cut the scrap pcs in to 1/2" strips and glue 2 pcs together. Glue the strips around the edge of each panel to create a little depth between the layers.

Flying Witch with Creepy Cabin
by Angie Cimbalo

AngiesignatureNEW
Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a Halloween card featuring some of the newly released fall dies.  The new dies I used are:

1)  Flying Witch 94624
2)  Creepy Cabin 94634
3)  Boo to You Posh Script 94587

Here's a close up look at my card:

AngiesignatureNEW
To make my card I cut the witch and the cabin from both white card and glossy black card stock. This is very thick and nice black glossy card stock released earlier by Memory Box and it's such high quality!

In the picture below you can see both cabin cuts.  The one of the left was cut right out of white card and left alone.  The black one was trimmed out of the opening so I could layer it on top of the white one with liquid glue.  For the background behind the cabin inside the opening, I ink blended a piece of white card with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink on the top half, and Dried Marigold Distress Oxide on the bottom half.

Next I took the smaller die from the Circle Basics 30087 set from white card that I had ink blended with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide ink.  I glued that to the background for my night moon in the sky.

Below you can see me working on the cabins and the ink blending.

AngiesignatureNEW

After gluing the black cabin over the white one, I cut the whole panel with a Stitched Rectangle Layers die 30009, and then used the same die and then next size smaller to create a glossy black stitched frame for my image.  I mounted that whole panel on foam tape in the bottom right corner.

AngiesignatureNEW

Next I glued the white and black witches together slightly offset and then added them to the card.  I had to use foam tape on the left side since the top of the broom, her arm and leg are on the raised rectangle panel.  This made it all even.  I did the same thing with the sentiment, layered, raised up the part not on the rectangle with foam tape to make if all level on the card.

Lastly I added both Autumn Fairy Crystals and Autumn Fairy Jewels to the card.  Memory Box has lots and lots of gems, jewels and crystals to choose from including clear ones.  The are fall colors, winter colors, Christmas colors and clear ones that look like water droplets and the best part is the come in different sizes.  Here's on last look at my card:

I had so much fun making this card.  I like to make Halloween cards for my grandkids, even though some are getting older, it's always fun to receive a card in the mail no matter how old you are!

Be sure to check out the newest Memory Box release goodies HERE.  There are lots of spooky and fun dies to help you create amazing cards!  Thanks so much for stopping by and see you next time.

Boo to You Tags for Halloween Goodie Bags
by Anne Thompson

Did you see Jean's post yesterday?  I hadn't looked at hers until after I had made these tags for my post today.

IMG_3855-ink

We both used these same three dies:

  •  WILD SPIRAL 94629
  • GHOSTS IN THE FOREST 94622
  • BOO POSH SCRIPT 94587

IMG_3858-ink

to make my tags

  • cut the Wild Spiral from BLACK GLOSSY PAPER SH44004
  • cut the ghosts with the two ghosts die in the Ghosts in the Forest set using a white glitter paper from MAJESTIC HUES GLITTER PAD GP1008
  • cut the background for the Boo Posh Script using a bright orange from the SUNNY ORANGE COLLECTION SP1002
  • cut the detailed letters for the Boo Posh Script from scraps of the Black Glossy Paper

IMG_3859-ink

  • Assemble the tags by securing the ghosts to the spiral with Glue Dots, making sure that their features line up with the black of the spiral.
  • Add the detailed lettering on top of the orange background using a Glue Pen and use Glue dots to add it to the spiral.
  • Punch a hole near the top of the spiral (I used the smallest setting on my Cropadile) and thread string/yarn/ribbon through the hole.

That's it!  Fun tags to add to bags of Halloween treats!

IMG_3855-ink

I'll be busy at my sewing machine soon creating costumes for my grandsons (and my son and his wife) who sent their requests on Sunday.  They always have a theme and dress up as a family.  This year looks like it will be Victorian vampires, so that should be challenging.  I will also sew some Halloween treat bags, fill them with goodies, and add these tags to send along with the costume pieces I make.

Happy Crafting!

Create a Starry Collage background for the new Flying Witch, diecut from black glossy cardstock and glittered 6x6's. Add a stamped, embossed "Boo" and turquoise jewels to complete the Halloween scene.  Hello, Jean Okimoto here with 2 more great new designs from the Memory Box Fall '22 Collection.

Cut Starry Collage from a black A-6 card (4-½" x 6-¼").  Line the card with a 6" x 4-¼" rectangle of lavender cardstock from the Twilight Purple Collection.

Blend soft, overlapping layers of salvaged patina, cracked pistachio and wilted violet Distress Oxides on smooth white cardstock.  Cut it with the 2-½"-wide Nested Globes die.

Cut the white Polished Foil 6x6 with the 1-¼" Circle Basics die.

Assemble the card - carefully avoid adding adhesives where the back of the globe will show through the star cutouts.  Attach the witch with foam tape on the shoulder/face/hat.

Add turquoise jewels from the Open Studio Bright Jewels set

Halloween Candy Bar Wrapper
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_2284

Good morning everyone!  Today I have a cute Halloween treat holder using some new products from the 2022 Memory Box Fall Release.

I cut a piece of white cardstock, 6 1/2" x 5 1/2" and used the eraser on the top of a pencil to add black dots to create a patterned background paper.

IMG_2279

Next, I applied double sided tape to one side of the paper on the 6 1/2" side and on the bottom of the backside of the paper.  Place a candy bar in the middle of the backside of the paper and wrap it around the candy bar.  Make sure you can easily pull the candy bar out.

IMG_2280

I punched a hole at the top of the wrapper and threaded a piece of ribbon through the hole to hold the candy bar.  Push the candy bar through the holder and ribbon.  To remove the candy bar all you have do is pull the 2 ends of the ribbon and the candy bar slides up.

IMG_2282

IMG_2281

To decorate the front of the holder, I die cut an oval shape from Glossy Black cardstock and one from white cardstock. I die cut the Creepy Cabin in the middle of the black oval and adhered it to the white cardstock oval.  Next, I die cut a larger oval from orange cardstock and glued the cabin oval to it.

The pumpkin was die cut from orange paper and glued in place on the oval.

I die cut the words "Boo to You" from orange cardstock and the shadow from black cardstock.  The orange words were glued to the black shadow and adhered to the oval.  I glued this to the front of the wrapper.

IMG_2283

I tied a bow at the top of the wrapper to keep the candy bar in place.

That's it for today!  Have a great weekend!

Happy Boo Day
by Trina Pham

201A5FA8-6376-4B9A-9A42-ED673200D678

Hello there.  The 2022 Fall release is packed with fa-BOO-lous Halloween goodies and I thought I would stretch the Boo Posh Script and Ghosts in the Forest dies to create a super simple birthday card.

Started by die cutting the Boo to You sentiment from Bristol paper 3x to stack for dimension.  Boo on the top layer was ombré colored with B0000, B000, B12 and FB2 Copic Sketch markers.  The ghosts were die cut out next and lightly shaded with the two lightest B000 and B0000 Copic Sketch markers.

Happy and day from Birthday Rose Corner stamp was then heat embossed on an A2 size black cardstock panel using white embossing powder.  Assembled the card onto a split black/white card base to finish.

Easy-peasy lemon squeezy. 😂  And that does it for today.  Thank you for joining me.  Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Window cutouts, layered diecuts and the new Creepy Cabin create a Halloween slimline with little ghostly accents.  Hi, Jean Okimoto here with two great new designs from our Fall 2022 Collection.  There's a lot happening on this card  - here's my attempt to prettify (is that a word?) Halloween in soft peachy colors.

MemoryBoxFall2022, MemoryBoxHappyHalloweenPoshScript, MemoryBoxHauntedEntranceDomeLayer, MemoryBoxCreepyCabin, MemoryBoxSlimBasicRectangleLayers, MemoryBoxTwinklingJewelGlitterPad, MemoryBoxBerryRed6x6, MemoryBoxChristmasFairyDewdrops, JeanOkimoto, MemoryBoxCo, MemoryBoxDies, HalloweenDies, SlimlineCards, WindowCards, DiecutCards, HandmadeHalloween, WordDiecuts, ImpressCardsAndCrafts

Cut, score and fold a black slimline card (3-⅝" x 8-½").  Prep the new Creepy Cabin die by rubbing it briskly with scrunched wax paper to help release the tiny and detailed pieces. Cut the card with Creepy Cabin and the solid Happy Halloween Posh Script background die.  Trim the 2 pointy pieces from the sides of the 'A' to make it easier to open and close the card.

Pressure-emboss the greeting background with the detailed Happy Halloween Posh Script die.  Cut the detailed greeting from a darker shade of peach cardstock in the Berry Red Collection.  Assemble the greeting.

Diecut a 3" x 8" rectangle of light peach cardstock with the Rectangle Basics die.  Attach it to the inside of the card.

Cut the ghosts - from the Haunted Entrance Dome Layer Set - from heavy white cardstock.  Define the eyes using a skewer or pushpin.  Attach a scrap of the bright orange 6x6 from the Twinkling Jewel Glitter Pad behind the mouth.

Cut the small pumpkins from the Haunted Entrance Dome Layer with the dark orange 6x6 from the Twinkling Jewel Glitter Pad.

Add turquoise Christmas Fairy Dewdrops. Cut a slimline-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Happy Halloween 6X6
by Anne Thompson

I'm loving the new Halloween/2022 Fall Collection, especially the Flying Witch.  She becomes the focal image on this 6X6 panel...

IMG_3847-ink

to make this panel

  • cut a piece of BLACK GLOSSY PAPER 44004 into a 6" square
  • cut a piece of brown plaid paper from WOODSY PLAID PP1018 into 5 7/8" square
  • layer the plaid onto the black glossy square
  • cut another strip of a different brown plaid 3" X 5 7/8" and add it toward the bottom of the larger plaid panel
  • die cut a circle of orange glitter paper from the GLITZY GLITTER PAD GP1007 using the CIRCLE BASICS SET 30087--I chose one that would fit the center of the white doily
  • glue the orange glitter paper circle in the center of a white doily and attach to the plaid paper in the upper left
  • die cut the FLYING WITCH 94624, the RICKETY HOUSE 94632, and the background for HAPPY HALLOWEEN 94585 from more of the black glossy paper
  • use Scor-Tape to attach the Flying Witch onto the orange glitter paper "moon"
  • add the Rickety House in the lower right corner with its fence using a glue pen
  • die cut the detailed HAPPY HALLOWEEN 94585 lettering from a bright orange paper from the SUNNY ORANGE COLLECTION SP1002 and use a glue pen to attach it to the black background and then secure it in the lower left corner
  • At this point I felt like it still needed something so I made a small floral arrangement for the upper right corner--some orangey leaves, gray flowers with orange centers, burlap twine, and black stamens all held together with large Glue Dots.

I haven't quite decided how I will use this panel.  It could become the front of a 6X6 card.  It could become part of a scrapbook page with Halloween photos added.  It could become a piece of home decor for the fireplace mantel at Halloween.  It could decorate the top of a Halloween treats box.  So many possibilities...
