Hi everyone. I have a simple and easy birthday card featuring the Butterfly Coterie Collage die. It is using the cut out butterflies from last week's blog post.
Butterflies:
Instructions how to watercolor the paper for the butterflies. Watercolor Open Studios Watercolor paper using a green, blue, yellow and silver paint. Use a larger sized paint brush for this technique. Spritz both sides of the paper with water then lightly wipe off the any excess water. Add the paint, starting with the darker colors, by just dabbing on the paper randomly. Make sure it does not create a pattern and just slightly overlapping the colors as you go. The colors with slightly blend together. Using a heat gun, dry the paper. After dry, die cut the Butterfly Coterie Collage die from the center of the paper. Use just the butterfly.
Sentiment:
Hot foil the Posh Happy Birthday sentiment using silver foil onto the same aqua paper from the Rainbow Reflections Mirror paper pad. Die cut using the matching die from the set.
Assembly:
Cut the white paper from the Vintage Pastel Mirror paper pad to A2 size. Adhere to a A2 size white card. Adhere the sentiment to the center of the card. Bend the butterflies in half and form the wing around your fingers. Add adhesive to the center of the butterflies and arrange around the sentiment. Add a aqua gem to the center from the Pastel Fairy Jewel pack to the center of the butterfly. Die cut the largest frame from the Stitched Rectangle Trimmings set from the silver paper from the Rainbow Reflections Mirror Pad. Adhere to the card.
