This month's blog challenge is "Waving" Hello--water-themed cards. For today's very dimensional shades of aqua card I've got lots of fishes swimming among the waves.
I started with three shades of aqua papers from the FRESH AQUA COLLECTION cardstock pad SP1004.
I die cut all of the fishes first from a turquoise paper. Then using another piece of the turquoise paper in a lighter shade and the OCEAN FISH 3-D EMBOSSING FOLDER EF1031 I made embossed fish and cut them out using the corresponding dies. For this card I decided to use only the embossed fish and set the other ones aside for another project.
Next I chose n even lighter shade of aqua paper and the CURLING WAVES 3-D EMBOSSING FOLED EF1032 to emboss the waves and then cut them out with the corresponding dies.
I covered the front of a top-fold white notecard with a darker aqua paper. I added the waves, glueing some on flat and popping up some with dimensional foam dots. Then I tucked in the fish, some glued on flat and some added with dimensional foam dots. I had one extra fish which I added to the inside of the notecard.
Think this card will go with an ocean-themed gift for a birthday in August and I'll add an appropriate sentiment and note inside. I love all of the dimension on this card!
