Tropical fish - from the new Ocean Fish 3D Embossing Folder and Cutting Dies Set - have friendly conversations here today. They're embossed, stenciled with Distress Oxides and diecut for an all-occasion card. Hi, Jean Okimoto here with a summer design from our Island Vacation release.
The fish seem to have personalities - so I've named them. From left to right, top to bottom - Tiger, Mermaid, Dimples, Finn, Angel, Smiley, Papaya and Captain. (Yes, I should get out more after 27 months of hunkering down.)
Spritz water into the air and pass smooth heavy white cardstock through the mist to soften the cardstock and make it more pliable for embossing. Repeat with the reverse side of the cardstock. Emboss it with the 3D Ocean Fish Embossing Folder. Stencil the fish with the Ocean Fish Stencil Set and Distress Oxides. Inks used here are spiced marmalade, dried marigold, fossilized amber, wild honey, iced spruce, peeled paint, salvaged patina and broken china. There are separate dies for the fins - but I just stenciled contrasting colors directly onto the fish. Dry the ink and diecut the fish with the Ocean Fish dies.
Cut a teal 6x6 from the Fresh Aqua Collection with the 3-¾" x 5" Rectangle Basics die. Prep it for embossing and emboss it with the Waves 3D Embossing Folder.
Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4-½" x 6-¼") - use foam tape for some of the fishes.
Add Clear Fairy Drops. Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front during mailing.
Have fun stenciling the Ocean Fish in your favorite colors - pearlescent inks like Brilliance would be great too.
