The May Collection…New Poppy Stems and Foiled Greetings by Jean Okimoto

Happy weekend! Hi - Jean Okimoto here, discovering more ways to combine the great new dies from our May Collection. Ruffled Poppy Stem (on the left) and Sweet Poppy Stem complement each other on a simple slimline. A delicate hot-foiled diecut Posh Thank You balances the bright bold blossoms with classic gold and black.

Cut Ruffled Poppy Stem from a teal 6x6 in the Fresh Aqua Collection. Cut Sweet Poppy Stem from a pinkish red 6x6 in the Berry Red Collection. Cut the flower centers from Black Glossy Paper. Assemble the poppies - add dimension with foamtape between the layers.

Cut Kraft Woodgrain Paper with the 6-¾" Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die. Cut aqua and coral strips with the two smallest Slim Basic Rectangle Layers dies. Diecutting simple layered accent strips creates smooth crisp edges and perfect proportions - without tedious measuring.

Foil and diecut Posh Thank You following the directions for your machine. The classic greeting would be great with any of the floral or butterfly diecuts from the May Collection.

Attach the diecuts to a white slimline card (3-½" x 8-½"). Add turquoise Christmas Fairy Dewdrops. Cut a slimline-sized rectangle of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

The new Sweet Poppy Stem, Ruffled Poppy Stem and Graceful Poppy Stems are simple and elegant individually - or combined for more impact. The stems will be great with other floral diecuts too - like the Ruffled Blooms and layered blossoms from earlier releases. They'll be classic, versatile additions to your collection of Memory Box floral dies.
