Marvelous Metallics by Laura Fulcher

Greetings friends. One of the most exciting things about the new Memory Box release is that there are now new foil plates and dies! Break out your foil machines and start adding dynamic and elegant shine to your projects. I decided to pair some of Memory Box's Mirror Paper with the foil to really make the shine of the card "pop."

To make the card, I first used a foil machine to add the Sunburst and Posh Hugs sentiment to black cardstock. If you haven't seen foil on cards, you end up with a very shiny surface that looks like letterpress. It isn't raised like heated embossing powder. The results look quite professional as if they were printed onto the paper. Here is a close up of the shine:

The Sunburst Plate created a frame for my butterfly in the center. The Stella Butterfly die comes with the solid background die as well as the detailed/intricate die that is layered on top of the background. I used gold mirror paper to cut out the solid butterfly and black cardstock to cut out the detailed butterfly. To finish the card, I popped up the wings with a little foam tape.
