Hello everyone. I’m popping in today to share a cute spring all-occasion card. I think it could have easily been an Easter card simply by swapping out the sentiment.
The wagon was created first. A piece of red Berry Red paper was trimmed to 0.5”x2.75”. A corner rounder punch was used to round the bottom two corners. The top crate part is made from Kraft woodgrain paper. The two horizontal pieces were trimmed to 0.25”x2.75”. The three vertical pieces were die cut with the Vertical Line Collage die and cut into 1” sections. You could trim by hand to 1/8”x2.75” as well then cut into 1” sections. Added shading to them using Gathered Twigs distress ink (DI) and a detailed blender tool to give them dimension. The two smallest dies from Circle Basics were then used to create the wheels from black cardstock and silver mirror paper. The handle is black glossy paper die cut also with the Vertical Line Collage die, then cut apart and pieced together to form the necessary angles.
The tulips were die cut from yellow Sunny Orange paper and the leaves from Lush Green. Used a darker shade of yellow and green dye inks to add shading and dimension to them, respectively. Took a Bristol panel from my stash next' and lightly ink blended Shaded Lilac DI and splattered with diluted Black Soot DI for the background. Die cut the Hello Banner Script sentiment from black glossy paper, then assembled the card onto a white card base. To ground it, added shading beneath the wagon with grey Copic Sketch markers. Drew in nails and tire rim centers with a black permanent pen to finish.
That does it for my card today. Thank you for joining me. Have a wonderful day.
