Hello everyone! Today's card features a fun technique called Bokeh Technique. You begin by creating a blended ink background on white cardstock and use circle stencils with white pigment ink or white acrylic paint to create the Bokeh effect.
I used several circle punches to create my stencils. You could use the Circle Basics Die Set instead.
I created my dye ink blended background and dried it completely before using white acrylic paint to do my circles. You're blending doesn't have to be perfect for this technique.
I used a foam blending tool and a light touch to apply the paint to the background.
I started with the larger circles first and then filled in with other sizes. Once I was done with the circles and the paint was dry, I used my ink blending brushes to go over the colors to soften the white paint. I also spattered the background with gold ink.
Next, I die cut the balloons and the shadow for the Happy Birthday from white cardstock. I used gold foil paper for the Happy Birthday and glued it to the white shadow die cut.
I glued the balloon die cut to the card and used a white pen to draw in the strings. Next, I used foam tape to adhere the Happy Birthday die cut to the card.
To finish the card, I glued the card front to a gold metallic mat and used foam tape to adhere it to a white card base.
That's it for today! Thanks for stopping by!
P.S. I just realized the dot for the "i" in the word birthday feel off. 😢

Love the background you made! And these OUTLINED balloons don't distract the beauty of background, rather than using solid balloon dies! Beautiful card! <3
