Greetings friends. There are so many new Memory Box floral dies, and with spring coming up, I have the urge to make pastel cards with bunnies and chicks. However, I also like to have sympathy cards on hand, and floral dies are always a perfect match. I usually have leftover white die-cut flowers, so I thought this would be a perfect way to use some of my extras.
To make the card, I first sponged various colors of Distress Oxide inks to give a sunrise/sunset look. Here are the inks I used:
After I layered my colors, I spritzed the whole piece with water to give it a mottled look. I think it helps blend the inks a bit more, and if you have any areas you didn't sponge very well, the mottled look helps cover up any mistakes:
I layered my white flowers on top to finish the card. Black cardstock silhouettes also work well if you prefer that look. Thanks so much for stopping by today!
