Enchanting Poppy Flower Card by Sara Cook

Hi Everyone. I have a small card using the new Enchanting Poppy Stem flower die set and the Friends and Family stamp set. It is the perfect size to send a small note to someone to brighten their day. You can also make several of these in different colors and give them as a gift.

Poppy Flowers:

Die cut the Enchanting Poppy Flower die set from 80 lb white card stock. Ink blend the flowers from the bottom 3/4" of the way up with Distress Oxide Ink Villainous Potion, creating a gradient of color. Take white Pan Pastel and blend white from the tips of the petals to 1/3" way down. Add adhere the petals together, use the front of the envelope as a guide, using foam tape at the tops of the petals and glue at the base of the flower. This will create dimensional flowers. Ink blend the stems with Distress Oxide Ink Lucky Clover then Pine Needles. Glue to the base of the flowers. Ink blend the larger of the leaves die cut first with Distress Oxide Ink Old Paper than Lucky Clover and Pine Needles. Add some Black Soot for some shadows on one edge. For the small leave die cut ink blend with just Old Paper and lightly with Lucky Clover. Adhere the leaves together using the envelope as a guide.

Sentiment:

Stamp and white emboss Just a note from the Friends and Family stamp set on a dark purple paper from the Twilight Purple pad. Fussy cut around the sentiment. Use the Distress Oxide Villainous Potion ink pad to color the edge of the paper purple.

Frame:

Die cut the center frame from the Double Scalloped Stitched Frame die from Poppy Stamps out of mirror purple paper from Rainbow Reflections Mirror pad. The die will cut 2 frames. Only use the larger of the frames.

Background:

Cut the same dark purple paper as the sentiment from the Twilight Purple pad to 5" x 3". Use the Distress Oxide Villainous Potion ink pad to color the edge of the paper purple. Cut white card stock to 4 3/4" x 2 3/4" and adhere to the center of the Pinpoint Daisy Background die and run through a die cutting machine.

Assembly:

Cute white card stock to 6" x 5". Score at 3" on the longer side to create a side folding card. Adhere the Twilight purple paper panel then the Pinpoint Daisy panel to the card. Adhere the frame to the upper center of the card. Adhere the Enchanting Poppy flowers and leaves inside the frame. Add dark purple gems from the Autumn Fairy Jewels to the corners of the frame. Adhere the sentiment to the lower right hand side of the card front.
