Stem Silhouettes
by Trina Pham

Hello and happy Saturday everyone.  I’m playing with more products from the 2022 spring release.  Unlike last time when I colored the die-cuts, I used them as silhouettes here.  This, of course, made the process quick and easy.

Started by die cutting Fresh Cut Stems and Tall Frilly Leaf Stems from black glossy paper… giving them instant shine!  Then on an A2 size Bristol panel, Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Prize Ribbon and Chipped Sapphire distress inks (DI) were blended on with blender brushes for an ombre look.  Spritz with water then dabbed with a paper towel for texture.  Set aside to dry.

Next, the Miss You Posh Script was die cut 3x from Bristol paper and stacked for dimension.   Arranged and assembled the card onto a white card base to finish.

This turned out darker than I wanted and since it was so easy to make, I created another card with more spring-like colors and white silhouettes.

The distress inks used here are Tumbled Glass, Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry and Scattered Straw.  I made sure to keep a light hand when blending to keep the colours soft.

Thank you for joining me today.  Have a wonderful weekend.

Your blended colours look amazing in both versions and I love to see the silhouettes in the white and black for contrast and I love them both Trina x.

Great use of the silhouettes and lovely inking! Both the cards are so pretty!

the black on blue is stunning Trina ♥

Two very different looks from these fantastic dies!

Two lovely and very different looks created with the same dies - the colors are wonderful on both!
