Greetings friends. February arrived quickly for me and I am trying to get all my Valentines made and mailed. I added some elements to this card to make it a Valentine's Day card, but if you left off the hearts, it would work well year-round as a thinking of you/support card. I love stamps and dies that can be used over and over.
To make the card, I started by adding texture to the background. I ran the Slim Pinpoint Burst Plate through my die cut machine to add all of the tiny holes to the background. I love that it adds dimension as well as provides a focal point for my message. I added my die cut sentiment to the top of the card as well as my flowers to the bottom. I let the flowers hang off the edge of the card because I liked the look, but I first made sure that my card would still fit into my business envelope for mailing.
Here is a close up of the flowers:
To finish the flowers, I cut out various sizes of hearts using the Bright Hearts die. For the center of each flower, I popped up a heart with some foam tape and then added some clear glaze pen to the top to give them a glossy shine.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!
