Hi, Jean Okimoto here - with more great new dies from our latest release! Surround a word window with blossoms and leaves from our Spring 2022 Collection and add a layered greeting. There are so many versatile floral and foliage dies it was challenging to chose the designs for this card!
Color choices were next - which of the 108 6x6 Color Collection sheets should I use? The Twilight Purple set would be perfect for birthdays throughout the year.
The word window lets the flowers and foliage shine on the outside of the card. The new Happy Birthday Posh Script becomes the focus when the inside is revealed. All you need to do now is personalize the message and sign your name!
We're using a combination of two great new floral sets - the bold Ruffled Blooms and the delicate Layered Star Flowers. Cut the Ruffled Blooms from different shades of the 6x6 Twilight Purple Collection. Cut two oval centers from the pale yellow-green 6x6 in the Lush Green Collection. Cut Layered Star Flowers from the darker purple in the new Rainbow Reflections Mirror Pad. The vivid 6x6 sheets have a pearly shimmer that photographs beautifully. Curl some of the petals using the side of a bonefolder - or that green plastic burnishing tool.
Cut the leaves from another Lush Green 6x6 - we're using a mix of foliage from the Exquisite Leaf Set and Layered Star Flowers.
Cut the Happy Birthday Posh Script background from a white slimline card (3-½" x 8-½"). Trim the two points on the sides of the letter A - they'll look a little toothy on a card.
Attach lined doublestick tape behind a Lush Green 6x6 large enough to cut the greeting background. Cut the background. Cut the delicate greeting from the shimmery white sheet in the Vintage Pastel Mirror Pad. Attach the white layer to the green background. Close the card and slip the greeting thru the cutout and attach it inside the card for perfect placement.
Attach the diecuts to the card - it's like building a layered garden puzzle!

The peekaboo happy birthday is such a clever technique on your slimline card. The new set of ruffled flowers is on my shopping list. Thank you for this lovely birthday card design - since I have about 10 to make between now and summer I am inspired!
