Greetings friends! Happy New Year! If you are like me, you might have started packing away your Christmas craft items. You might want to hold off on that and think about how you might use them in other ways. I knew that I wanted to use my poinsettia die to make a daisy card instead.
To make the card, I first made a notecard using the kraft woodgrain paper. It is a bit hard to see the texture in the picture, but I thought the woodgrain would pair nicely with the pinpoint daisy pattern at the back of the card. The pinpoint plates are a really nice way to create a background without overpowering anything you layer on top of it.
Next, I cut out my poinsetta in dark cream cardstock and then again in a light yellow and a darker yellow. I pieced together all of the petals and then added an assortment of jewels to the center.
The January card theme this month is alphabets, so I decided to cut out my own message using solid green cardstock for the letter shadows and yellow/green plaid paper for the centers of the letter.
Nice and easy!
Here is a closeup of the details of the card:
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
