Masculine Valentine's Card
by Sara Cook

Hi everyone.  I have a masculine Valentine's card that is ocean themed featuring the Wave 3D embossing folder and Whale Family die.

Background:

Spray Distress Oxide Inks Gathered Twigs, Speckled Egg, and Tumbled Glass on Open Studio Watercolor paper. Lightly spritz with water to slightly blend and activate the Oxide ink.  Heat dry.  Add  gold glitter ink to one side of the Waves 3D embossing folder and emboss the background.  Trim to 4" x 51/4".   The picture does not capture the glitter gold as in real life.  it is spectacular.

Hearts

Die cut hearts from the Neighborhood Heart Frame out of the dark gold Polished Foil paper pad.

Whale:

Die cut the large whale from Whale Family die set from white card stock.  Color using the same Distress Oxide ink as the spray ink.  I added from Hickory Smoke to the bottom of the whale and white Pan Pastels.  With a fine tip black marker fill in the eye and blow hole.

Assembly:

Cut the same brown paper used in the sentiment to A2 panel.  Adhere the background to the center.  Adhere the panels to a A2 card, any color.  I used Kraft color card.   Adhere the whale to the lower center and the sentiment to the upper left.  Adhere 5 hearts coming out of the blow hole up to the top of the sentiment.

The hearts for air bubbles is so cute. The card is so awesome.

This is a great masculine card. I really like the way you did your background. I'll bet the glitter and shine is spectacular in R.L.
