Looking for versatile dies? The new Cottage Flower Stem set cuts a freeform layered blossom - and it's great for cutting a stencil too!  Hi, Jean Okimoto here with a slimline design for a new floral die from our latest collection.

Cut Cottage Flower Stem from a plastic stencil sheet for a durable, long-lasting stencils- or from printer paper or vellum for disposable stencils.

Stencil the design onto the smoother side of Open Studio Watercolor Paper.  Distress Oxide colors used (in sequence) here are kitsch flamingo, worn lipstick and mowed lawn.  Mask the top of the stem and stencil the flower.  Mask the bottom of the flower and stencil the stem and leaves.  Heat-set the stenciled areas then stencil the darker pink overlay.  Dry the inks.

Sponge or brush wild honey Distress Oxide onto a scrap of the watercolor paper and cut the small dotted center section.

Trim the watercolor paper with the 7.2" long Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die, then trim the short edge.

Cut the pale pink/coral/green Madras Plaid Coral and Green 6x6 with the 5.9" long Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die.

Stamp the greeting - from the Big and Little Reverse Words Clear Stamp Set - on natural cardstock with Brilliance Pearlescent Thyme.  Dry the ink, then cut the greeting with the set's matching die.  Trim the short ends.

Attach everything to a Cream Woodgrain Paper (cardstock) slimline card (8-½" x 3-⅝").  Use foamtape for the greeting.

Attach yellow Treasure Chest Fairy Gemstones. It's easy to see the actual colors of the Fairy Gemstones from the reverse side.

Cut a slimline-sized layer of cardstock to cover and protect the card front for mailing.

Make the most of your Memory Box dies - use them to cut stencils and pressure-emboss too.  There are so many great designs to chose from - and so many ways to use them.

Thanks for visiting - enjoy your weekend!
