Hello everyone.  I am sharing a clean and simple (CAS) thank you card today that I made for a crafty friend who helped me update my blog recently.  I used the Cottage Flower Stem die from the 2022 Valentine’s release and skipped the middle layer so I could do some die cut coloring.

The flower stem and flower center were die cut from alcohol marker friendly cardstock.  To give it strength, the flower stem was die cut from thick white cardstock, then adhered beneath the first one before some easy coloring with Copic markers.  Okay, maybe not so easy because I messed up on the stem/leaves. 😂  Another flower stem was then die cut from alcohol marker friendly cardstock and the stem/leaves were re-colored.  I liked how the flower turned out on the first one, so it was cut off and pieced on top of the second one.  The resulting dimension was a nice unexpected surprise.

Next, a piece of Bristol paper was die cut with the Wrapped Stitch Rectangle and splatters added using diluted black gouache paint.  The Thank You Posh Script was die cut three times from white cardstock and once from black cardstock, then stacked for a floating effect.  For some shine, covered it with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it twice with clear embossing powder.  Assembled the card onto a white card base and added clear shimmer to the flower to finish.

Kept it pretty simple so the Cottage Flower Stem could shine!  Thank you for joining me today.  Have a wonderful day.

Gorgeous coloring, great save, like how it gives it more dimension!

This is lovely. The stem just shines and the dimension on the flower is beautiful. I like the clean look of the card.
