Sending Heartfelt Prayers
by Angie Cimbalo

6.30 1

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with a sympathy card using some of the newly released floral dies.

Here's a closer look:

6.30 2

To make my card I first swiped pink and green ink pads direct to watercolor card to create a textured background.  I die cut the flowers and stems using "Graceful Poppy Stems" and "Ruffled Poppy Stems" dies, from pink and green card stock and used some watercolor markers to add a little interest to them.  After putting the flowers together, I arranged them on the front of the card and added a heat embossed sentiment from "Big & Little Words" stamp set.  Lastly I added a few gems.

Here's one last look:

I hope you like my sympathy card for today.  I always find these difficult to make because it's such a sad occasion to create for.  Hopefully, I've given you some inspiration to create cards like this when you need them.

Be sure to check out the entire new release from Memory Box!  Thanks for stopping by!

Fin-Tastic Goldfish Card
by Sara Cook

Hi everyone.  The 3D embossed fish are so pretty.  Having the options to color, die cut, and emboss the fish with any combo makes the set so versatile.  I used the Ocean Fish die set and 3D Embossing Folder with the Memory Box Mirror paper to create the fish.  Also used several other flower dies to create the water lily and lily pad.

Die cut the goldfish from the Ocean Fish die set from gold and bronze Rainbow Reflections Mirror paper pad.  Secure in the fish in the Ocean Fish 3D Embossing Folder using temporary tape and run through the die cutting machine.  Repeat for the 2nd fish.

Cut a white card stock to 3 3/4" x 5".  in the lower left hand side ink blend with dye ink, I used my new Elements ink in the bright blue and turquoise with  a brush.  I left some of the brush marks to create movement.  Sprinkle with water, let stand for few seconds, and blot off with a paper towel.  Set aside to dry.

Die cut the smallest and 2nd smallest Happy Daisy Stem flower dies from heavy white card stock.  Ink blend with a light pink from the bottom up with a light pink ink.  Die cut the pistil from the Ruffled Poppy Stem die set from heavy white card stock.  Color with a bright yellow ink.  Glue the pistil to the larger flower and then the smaller on top.  Die cut the stems from the Ruffled Poppy Stem die set from heavy white card stock.  Color with a light and mid tone green ink.  You can use pens, watercolor, or any ink pads.  I used Elements Ink pads for all my coloring today.  Die cut the 4th smallest circle die from Circle Basic set from white card stock. Use the flower pad from the Ruffled Poppy stem die to die cut in the shape of the lily pad. Take Tim Holtz paper distressed to rough of the edge around the pad. Ink blend with a light green ink and then a mid-tone green ink.  Take a dark green color pencil and draw in some lines.

Stamp a strip of white card stock with the You Are Fin-tastic sentiment from Deep Blue Ocean stamp set in black ink.  Back with a strip of black paper from Rainbow Reflections Mirror paper pad.

Cut the black paper from Rainbow Reflections Mirror paper pad to an A2 panel.  Adhere to a white A2 card.  Adhere the stems to the left side of the card, the lily pad, and then the waterlily.  Adhere the goldfish to the bottom left of the card, with 1 fish hanging off the side.  Trim off.  Adhere the sentiment to the upper righthand side.  Add a few clear Fairy Drops in the water.  Adhere the panel to the card using mounting foam tape.

Curling Waves Butterfly
by Trina Pham

Hello everyone.  The new mini Island Vacation release is live and consists of fun embossing folders with matching dies and/or stencils.  I stretched the Curling Waves layering stencil set of 2 from the release to create my card today.  But these waves look so cool when used as intended. 😉
Normally, I leave the sentiment till the end, but because I am hot foiling directly onto the panel, the Posh Hello sentiment was hot foiled with silver foil first.  Using blender brushes next, Milled Lavender, Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet and Villainous Potion distress inks were ink blended for an ombré.  Wiped off excess ink with a paper towel, then lightly splattered with diluted white gouache paint for some texture.

For the Stella Butterfly, the background was die cut from vellum, while the outline top layer was die cut twice from Bristol paper.  Glued the background piece to one of the outline pieces, then applied clear glitter onto the vellum through the openings.  Added the other outline piece on top to cover up any glitter that may have accidentally got onto the first piece.  Completed the butterfly by die cutting the body/antenna three times from Bristol paper and stacking them for dimension.  A finger brush was then used to apply white pigment ink over the Curling Waves stencil (used the first stencil layer with the larger opening) to create the butterfly trail.  Mounted the butterfly, then added star and dot details along the trail with a white gel pen to finish.

That does it for my card.  Thank you for joining me today.  Have a wonderful day.

Rainbow Butterfly Birthday
by Angie Cimbalo

Hello and welcome!  It's Angie here today with a fun full size slimline card made with 2 new products from the latest release.

1)  Intricate Mini Butterflies Dies  94641 and 2)  Posh Happy Birthday Hot Foil Plate MBF011

Here's a closer look at my card:

This card was super fast to create and here's how I did it.

1)  Ink blend on a  large piece of white card stock with your favorite inks in rainbow order.  I choose lighter colors of Distress Oxide Ink for a more pastel look but you could use any inks you have.

2)  I cut one strip about 2 inches wide for my car and added it to the card base with two thin strips of black card stock on either side.

3)  Using the rest of your ink blended card stock, die cuts several butterflies with the mini butterfly die.  It's great because it cuts out a lot of them all at once.   I cut it about 3 times so I would have lots of butterflies to chose from and some left over for my stash.

4)  Add some color to the edges of the butterflies.  I used colored pencils and also tan ink with a finger dauber, just to give them a little more depth and contrast.

5)  Arrange the butterflies like you want and glue only the center of each down to the rainbow strip.

6)  Once dried, lift the wings for dimension and add tiny gems to their back centers.

7)  With the hot foil plate create your sentiment.  I used Aurora Foil from Gemini on black card stock and then used the coordinating die to cut it out.

8)  After glueing the sentiment on, I added little antenna for each butterfly and random black dots with a fine tip black marker all over the card front.

Here's one last look:

I hope you like my rainbow card for today.  I'm looking forward to sending this to a friend who loves rainbows!

Be sure to check out all the new wonderful items in the latest Memory Box release and thanks so much for stopping by!

Wishing You the Best with Charlotte Blooms and Leaves
by Anne Thompson

Oops--I'm awfully late posting this!  Sorry...

Today's card features the CHARLOTTE BLOOMS AND LEAVES 94645 against a SLIM CONFETTI PLATE 94551 background.  The sentiment "WISHING YOU THE BEST" is from the SIGNATURE GREETINGS CL5272 clear stamp set.

to make this card

  • Start with a white notecard and envelope and one of the yellowy greens from the LUSH GREEN COLLECTION SP1003.
  • Use the  SLIM CONFETTI PLATE 94551 to cut that cardstock.  Add it to the right front of the notecard and trim as needed to fit.

  • Cut multiples of the flowers, leaves, and flower centers using the CHARLOTTE BLOOMS AND LEAVES 94645 dies, choosing a yellow for the flowers from the SUNNY ORANGE COLLECTION SP1002, a different green from the LUSH GREEN COLLECTION SP1003 for the leaves, and cut the flower centers from one of the dark brown plaids from WOODSY PLAID PP1018.

  • Assemble the flowers however you like and add them to the front of the notecard.

  • Stamp the sentiment on a scrap of the paper used for the flowers using VersaFine Clair Rain Forest ink.  Trim it either with a coordinating die or detail scissors.

  • Use foam dots to add the sentiment to the card front.  Tie a coordinating ribbon around the card in the white space on the left edge for additional color and texture.

That's it!  Another card done that is perfect for so many occasions!

Happy Crafting!

Charlotte Daisies Birthday
by Trina Pham

Hello and happy weekend.  Today I’ve stretched the Charlotte Blooms and Leaves dies from the 2022 May release and turned them into daisies to create a birthday card inspired by this month’s blue and yellow colour challenge at The Flower Challenge in support of Ukraine.
The flowers were die cut from Bristol paper while the centers were die cut from the lightest yellow Sunny Orange paper.  Each flower is two of the same flower cutouts, and offset.  Coloring / shading was then done with Copic Sketch markers.
yellows - Y11, Y15, YR24
greys - C4, C2, C1, C00
The background is a Bristol panel ink blended with Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon distress inks (DI) using blender brushes.  The “trellis” was die cut from Bristol paper using the Double Diamond Lattice Plate from Poppy Stamps.  It’s actually a full A2 size, but was reduced by die cutting a frame with Rectangle Basics dies then adhering it over top and trimming away the excess.

The Posh Happy Birthday sentiment was foiled next with Prism hot foil using the Spellbinders Glimmer hot foil system.  Applied Mermaid Lagoon DI to it, wiped off excess ink with a paper towel (foil resists the ink) and die cut out with the matching die.  Assembled the card onto a white card base then added clear shimmer to the yellow centers to finish.

Thank you for joining me today.  Have a wonderful day.

Hello Mini Slimline Card
by Donna Sledzik

Hello everyone!  Today I have a mini slimline card for you using the new hot foil plates from the 2022 May release.

I began by using the Exquisite Leaves hot foil plate and the Posh Hello hot foil plate to add gold foil to white cardstock.  I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images. Next, I used a blending brush to add Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks to the leaves.

I die cut the Riverbank Large Layered Blooms several times from white cardstock and used Mustard Seed and Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide ink to color the flowers.  Instead of stacking the flowers, I decided to use them separately on my card.

To create the background for my flowers I used the Ringadings 3D embossing folder and white cardstock.   I used a blending brush and Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide Ink to add color to the background.  To darken the color I used Chipped Sapphire Distress Oxide Ink.  I spattered the background with plain water and gold ink.

I glued this to a white cardstock layer that I die cut using the Slim Pinpoint Burst Plate.  This was adhered to a navy cardstock mat and glued to a white card base.

Next, I glued the flowers and leaves to the card and used foam tape adhere the word "Hello".

To finish the card, I inked the flower centers with Vintage Photo ink, glued them in place, and used Gold Nuvo Drops to add some dimension to the flower centers.

Well that's it for today!  I hope you have a great weekend!

Hello Butterfly Card
by Sara Cook

Hi everyone! I am enjoying this release so much with the mixture of foil plates and flowers.  So many beautiful cards to create.  The Stella Butterfly and Background die set and Black Glossy paper makes a stunning focal image to the flower and leaves dies.

Exquisite Leaves:

Use the Exquisite Leaves plate to hot foil aqua green on the dark Fresh Aqua paper.  I chose the last, greener paper. Die cut using the matching die.  Make 3 die cuts.

Die cut the 2 smallest flowers from the Bouquet Blooms and Leaves from the darkest blue from the Ocean Blue paper pad.  Die cut 3 times.

Stella Butterfly and Background:

Die cut the top die and center of the butterfly from Black Glossy paper.  Die cut the background from heavy white card stock.  Ink blend from center out with VersaFine Clair Cheerful, Warm Breeze from center to end, then Paradise from ends to just before the center.  Ink up the edge of the die cut with Paradise.  Glue the top die cut on tope then glue the center in the middle.  Use your fingers to round the end wings downwards. Then press up the wings while pressing down on the center.

Die cut the outline Hello Daily Script from Black Glossy paper.  Die cut the background from the same Fresh Aqua paper.  Adhere together.

Adhere a A2 size paper matching paper from the Madras Plaid Blu and Violet paper paid to a white A2 card.  Trim the Black Glossy paper to 4" x 51/4" and die cut out the center using 4the smallest die from Open Studios Oval Layers die set.  Adhere vellum to the back of the cut out.  Adhere the paper to to the center of the card.  Arrange and adhere the leaves on the left hand side around the oval cut out, leaving some of the leaves off the card.  Trim off the leaves.  Adhere the Hello sentiment to the upper right side of the oval cut out.  Adhere the butterfly to the lower right side, making sure the wings over lap the sentiment and leaves. Add the flowers to the center of the leaves.  Add the gold Fairy Gems and Fairy Jewels to the center of the flowers.

Butterfly Birthday Shaker
by Trina Pham

Hello there!  It’s been a while since I last posted, I almost forgot how.  😂*lol*   Anyway, I have a fun and simple birthday shaker card to share today featuring the Butterfly Coterie Collage and Posh Birthday Wishes dies from the May 2022 release.

Started by trimming two A2 size panels from Bristol paper.  Took one of them and die cut from it twice with the butterfly die to stretch the butterflies across from corner to corner.  The Posh Birthday Wishes foil plate was then hot foiled in black using the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System, and die cut out with the matching die.

On the other panel, ink blended Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry, Mermaid Lagoon and Twisted Citron distress inks before prepping it for an infinity shaker to go behind the butterfly panel.  To minimize bulk. the small clear Fairy Drops were separated out and used for the shaker bits.  Assembled the card onto a white card base to finish,

That does it for my card.  Thank you for joining me today,  Have a wonderful day.
