Hi everyone. Counting down the days until Christmas. Time to start holiday gift tags for me. I have a shaker tag using the Nested Globe dies and the Snowman House Frame die set.
Background:
Adhere the Poppy Stamps Flurries Wide Washi Tape to a light blue from the Ocean Blue paper pack. Then die cut the 3rd largest die from the Nested Globe die set. On the back side use a white paint pen and write To and From. You can also use a embossing pen and use white embossing powder. Die cut the same Globe die from acetate.
Base:
Die cut the largest die from the Snowglobe Bases from Kraft Woodgrain card stock 2 times. Ink blend the base with Distress Antique Linen and then Gathered Twigs to just around the outside edges.
Shaker Frame:
Take the 3rd and 4th largest die from the Nested Globe die set to create a frame. Die cut the frame from white scrap card stock 3 times. Die cut the frame from the white Polished Foil pad. Glue the 3 frames together with thick glue, making sure there is glue everywhere. Also glue in string in-between one of the layers. Take 1 of the inside pieces of the scrap white card stock and trim about 1" off with a hill shape to create a snow bank. Ink blend with Fresh Ink Silicone Blue at the bottom of the snowbank.
Snowman House Frame:
Die cut the snowman and trees from white card stock. Ink blend Distress Rustic Wilderness on the tree die cuts from the top down leaving the bottom white to make it look like stock. Ink blend Fresh Ink Silicone Blue around the snow man. Mask off the snowman body and color the snowman arms with a brown watercolor marker. Color the hat black, nose, and the scarf red or any other color you choose using watercolor markers. ** Trick to fix inky mistake. I got ink on the snowman so I took a white Gell pen and colored the full die cut to hide it**
Assembly:
Glue the stacked shaker frames on top of the background. Glue in the snowbank, Trees and snowman. Add Distress Rock Candy glitter. Glue the acetate die cut then the frame die cut form the white foil paper. Glue 1 of the snow globe base die cut on front. Cut 4 strips of scrap paper the length of the snow glove base and glue behind the shaker base. Glue the other snow globe base the the backside for a finished look on the backside. Die cut the top Let It Snow Posh Script die from white Festive Glitter paper. Adhere to the front on the snow globe base.
Supplies
