On Sunday evening I realized that I needed eight more Merry Christmas cards for Monday morning. What to do?! Watercolor Forest Washi Tape, two dies, and some pearls to the rescue!
materials used
- white notecards
- WT500 WATERCOLOR FOREST GREENERY WIDE WASHI TAPE, 4.5 inches wide by 11 yards roll
- MERRY CHRISTMAS POSH SCRIPT 94584
- PP1018 WOODSY PLAID 6X6 PACK
- white cardstock
- CURLED HOLLY BRANCH 94599
- small white pearls
- Cover white notecards with the Washi Tape, smoothing out the tape as you go so there are no wrinkles. Because the tape is wider than an A2 notecard, trim the extra.
- Die cut the background for the Merry Christmas Posh Script from one of the brown plaid papers. Because of the length of this sentiment, I reoriented the cards with the fold at the top edge before adhering it to the card front. I used a glue pen for this.
- Die cut the detailed words from white cardstock and glue them to the background piece.
- Die cut the Curled Holly Branch from one of the green plaid papers and use Glue Dots behind some of the leaves to add one to each card.
- Add the white pearls on the berry circles on the holly branches.
Phew! All my cards are made and on their way, including some Winter Solstice cards to celebrate the turning of the seasons. I am so looking forward to the returning of the light as the days grow longer little bit by little bit.
May the New Year bring you joy.
Happy Crafting!
