Greetings friends. Today I want to share card using a blue theme. Of course, I am now going to have "Blue Christmas" playing in my head. I was inspired by the latest Memory Box 6"x 6" paper pack called "Woodsy Plaid." It is great for the holiday cards as well as winter cards in general.
To make the card, I cut out my bird using two glitter papers from the Majestic Hues Glitter Pack. It is hard to tell from the cover of the pack, but there is a gorgeous deep blue shade included that made for a beautiful wing for my bird. I continued with the sparkle of the bird by adding a black rhinestone to serve as an eye.
For the background foliage, I cut out different shapes and styles of leaves from the same 6"x 6" paper pack. The nice thing about using one of the Memory Box color packs is that you end up with a lot of shades that you know will coordinate with each other. They are also in a 6" x 6" pack that conveniently fits on my bookcase.
To finish the card, I cut out the background for my sentiment using kraft cardstock and than added the fine detail of the words using the same blue glitter paper as the wing.
Here is a close up of all the elements:
Thank you so much for stopping by today!
