Red and Green Holiday Cheer Card
by Sara Cook

Hi everyone.  I have another card using the Pine Needle Trio die set with the white and silver embossing powder.  This time I use the pine needle die cuts as the border framing the Joy and Cheer sentiment die cut.

Pine Needles:

Die cut 16 of the 2 smallest Pine Needle Trio dies from the darkest green from the Lush Green paper pad.  Emboss using dries white glue and white and silver mixed embossing power on the ends of the pine needles.

Sentiment:

Die cut the top  Joy and Cheer die from a dark green glitter paper from the Glitzy Flitter pad.

Background:

Ink blend a A2 heavy weight card stock with Distress Oxide Ink. First add Candied Apple all over, then blend around the outside with Festive Berries and then just the outside edge with Aged Mahogany.   Add white splatters with Distress Picket Fence reindeer. Add a few water splatters as well.

Assembly:

Glue the sentiment to the center of the card panel.  Glue the Pine Needles around the outside edge to frame the sentiment.  Trim off the excess.  Adhere the card panel to a heavy weight A2 size card.  Cut a reddish brown from the Earth Neutral pad to A2 size.  Use the 2nd largest die from the Rectangle Basics set to cut a frame.  Adhere the frame to the front of the card.
