Hello everyone. I’m in full Christmas card making mode and am counting down with the Hallmark channel as they play Christmas movies 24/7 till then! 😆 So I have a mini slimline Christmas card to share today created with many products from the current Holiday collection.
Started by die cutting the Serene Bird from alcohol marker-friendly paper and colored it with Copic markers. The pine needles were die cut out of green paper from the Lush Green paper pack. Shading was added to them using a finger brush and Rustic Wilderness distress ink (DI). The pine cones were die cut out of brown plaid paper from the Woodsy Plaid paper pack. I thought the bits of gold in it tied in nicely with the sentiment. White gouache paint was added to the ends of each of their layers with a sponge dauber.
For the background, mixed media paper was trimmed to 3.25”x6.25” and put through my die cutting machine along with the Slim Pinpoint Burst Plate. Squeezed Lemonade, Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch DI’s were then ink blended on with blender brushes. Arranged and adhered the bird, pine needles and pine cones to the panel next before splattering with white gouache paint for a snowy effect.
The Bennet Alphabet letters were die cut next out of gold glitter paper from the Majestic Hues Glitter Pad and their shadow from scraps of Bristol paper. Heat embossed ”love and joy” from the Festive Christmas Greetings stamp set with white embossing powder on black cardstock, then assembled the card onto a white 3.25”x6.25” card base to finish.

Awwwww.... Wonderful slimline!! LOVE the Pinpoint Burst Plate, it gives an amazing feel to the blended background!! The bird is adorable, as well the pine cones and such beautiful sparkling sentiment!
