Hello everyone. It’s a quick 2-in-1 post for me today. 😉 I was the August challenge winner at Christmas Craft Creations (CCC) and was invited to guest design for their October challenge starting today. As you can see, this is also my day to post here, and since the challenge here this month is Holidays, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to combine them in one post. The challenge theme at CCC is Black and White plus One. You know I love non-traditional color Christmas cards, so I chose purple for my color.
The poinsettias were die cut from Bristol paper using the Layered Poinsettia die. Colored each cutout with Shaded Lilac distress ink (DI) then applied Wilted Violet DI at the center and tips. Attached two of them together and shaped the petals with my fingers before spritzing them with a shimmer spray for some sparkle. Set aside to dry.
The pine needles and sentiment were also die cut from Bristol paper. The sentiment was die cut 3x and stacked for dimension, then mounted onto its black shadow piece. Adhered the pine needles directly to a black A2 sized panel and popped up the poinsettias with mounting tape (except for the petals underneath the sentiment). Covered the upper portion of the panel next and splattered the bottom half with white gouache paint. Attached the panel to a black/white split card base, then added the sentiment and clear Fairy drops to the poinsettia centers to finish.
Create your own black and white plus one Christmas card using at least one Memory Box product and you can enter in both challenges! And that is it from me. Thank you for joining me today. Have a great day.

WOW Trina what a stunner of a card. The vibrant poinsettias look amazing against the black card stock and love the white pine needles and the splats. Eye catching and a stunning non traditional coloured Christmas card x.
