Glitzy Glitter Pad diecuts and bright red Christmas Fairy Crystals sparkle on a holiday slimline card from our latest release. Hi everyone, Jean Okimoto here with a gouache and watercolored design from the new Festive Christmas Greetings Set.
Prep smooth kraft cardstock with an embossing powder tool. Stamp the oval foliage image from the new Festive Christmas Greetings Clear Stamp and Die Set with VersaMark. Heat-emboss it with detail white powder.
Color it with a blend of Zinc White Gouache and Distress Oxides refill inks - twisted citron, cracked pistachio and lucky clover were used here. Dry the inks and diecut the imaage.
Diecut Joy Posh Script from natural cardstock and the bright red Glitzy Glitter Pad sheet. Pressure-emboss the natural background diecut with the delicate Joy die. Embossing adds dimension - and makes it easy to attach the delicate die by letting it settle into the embossed outline.
A tip...if you're not sure which die size to use for a background strip cut the larger size. If it looks too big, then recycle it by cutting it again with the smaller die. You've saved some cardstock - and might even be able to use the offcut "frame" for another project.
Cut the background strip wih the 1.5" x 6.5" Wrapped Stitched Slim Rectangle die. Cut the green sheet from the Glitzy Glitter Pad with the .8" x 5.8" die.
Attach the diecuts to a kraft slimline card (3-½" x 8-½") - use foamdots for the greeting. Add red Christmas Fairy Crystals for holly berries.
To protect the card for mailing - cover the front with a slimline-sized layer of cardstock. The thickness of the card may require special postal handling.
Thanks for visiting - see you again this weekend...
