I am loving the newest release from Memory Box--2021 Holiday--and I am totally inspired to start making my holiday cards! I think my favorite item is the 6X6 WOODSY PLAID paper pad PP1018. I used up almost all of one pack this past week and have three more ordered already! I have tried many of the new dies with these papers and settled on a card design for this post that uses the FLORENTINA WREATH 94592, SERENE BIRD AND BRANCH 94620, CURLED HOLLY BRANCH 94599, and JOY POSH SCRIPT 94591. With so many beautiful plaids to choose from in the Woodsy Plaid paper pad I made cards in three colorways--green, blue, and brown.
I made the blue card first and it is the simplest one with two layers of coordinating plaids for the wreath, and three layers each of the Branch that comes with the bird die set and the Curled Holly Branch. I used a light blue cardstock from the FRESH AQUA COLLECTION SP1004 to cover the front of a white notecard. I chose a darker blue for the bird and its wing as well as for the background Joy piece. I cut "Joy" from a scrap of one of the blue plaids. The bird's eye is one of the small black gems from the new AUTUMN FAIRY JEWELS JWL004.
For the brown card I chose a light brown plaid paper to cover the front of a white notecard. I selected other brown plaids for two layers of the wreath and the bird's branch and for three layers of the holly branch. I used two shades of brown cardstock from the EARTH NEUTRAL COLLECTION SP1009 for the bird's body and wing. I cut the Joy background from one of the cardstock scraps and "Joy" from one of the plaid paper scraps. The eye is a gold gem from the Autumn Fairy Jewels.
For the green card I cut a light green plaid 4X5.25 and added it to the front of a white notecard. I used three layers of three different plaids for the wreath, the bird's branch and the holly branch. Lots of dimension! I also chose a soft green cardstock from the LUSH GREEN COLLECTION SP1003 for the bird's body and the Joy background; and the wing and "Joy" are cut from scraps from one of the green plaids. The bird's eye is a black gem from the Autumn Fairy Jewels.
I did secure the branches to the backs of the birds with Glue Dots before using dimensional foam to attach the birds and branches to the wreaths.

The wreath cards are really lovely on their own.... I find the bird distracting and not needed. Just my humble, less is more opinion!
