Hello everyone. I have a few family birthdays coming up and need to make some masculine cards. I loved the background in my last post so I repeated it this week but changed up the color to be more bold. After I made the first card I had to make another in blue. Hope you enjoy this technique.
Background panel:
Trim a heavy white card stock to A4 size. Stamp with clear embossing ink and heat emboss with Distress Embossing Glaze Crackling Campfire. Ink blend from lighter to darker around the outside with with Distress Oxide Inks, Crackling Campfire, Fire Brick and Age Mahogany.
Sentiment:
Stamp Sending Birthday Wishes from the Signature Greetings stamp set on dark red card stock from Berry Red paper pack with black ink. Heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Die cut the sentiment with the matching die.
Balloons:
Die cut the Balloon Bunch from a dark red card stock from Berry Red paper pack. Ink blend the outline die cut with Age Mahogany.
Assembly:
Adhere the background panel to a A4 card base. Carefully glue the Balloon Bunch outline die cut to the upper center of the panel. Try not to get glue on the Oxide Ink, otherwise it will change colors. Glue in the rest of the Balloon Bunch pieces into the outline die cut. Add Glossy Accents to the Bolloon Bunch. Let dry for several hours. Adhere the sentiment with foam squares.
Bonus Card:
For the second card I used Speckled Egg for Distress Embossing Glaze. I used Speckled Egg and Peacock Distress Oxide Ink for the ink blending. I did spray the background with bleach water to add a speckle effect. I also trimmed down the panel by 1/4" to leave a white boarder. The Balloon Bunch is die cut from matching paper from the Fresh Aqua paper pack.
