Create a Spooky Scene with Layered Collages by Jean Okimoto

P1008406

Create a Halloween scene with layered collages and a felt Poppystamps Whittle Cat - all on a 6x6 print from the Garland paper pack. Hi, Jean Okimoto here with another mix of old and new, seasonal and everyday.

Cut the 6x6 Garland print with the largest Wrapped Stitch Rectangles die and attach it to yellow A-2 card.

Cut a bright yellow 6x6 from the Sunny Orange Pack with the 3" wide Nested Globe die.

Cut Willow Globe and Haunted House Dome Layer from 6x6 sheets in the Earth Neutral Pack.  Trim the bottom of the diecuts to match the height of the yellow globe.  Cut a moon with the white Frosted Glitter Pack 6x6 and the ½" Circle Basics die.  Attach the layers.

The willow and house layers have holes punched at the top.  Pierce a matching hole on the yellow globe diecut.   Tie the 3 layers together with gold cord.

Cut the ghost - from the Haunted Dome Layer set - from the white glittered sheet too.  Cut another ghost from black cardstock to add dimension.  Define the eyes with a piercing tool.  Attach a scrap of orange cardstock behind the ghost's mouth.

Attach packing tape to a scrap of the orange sheet from the Sunny Orange Pack and cut the pumpkins from the Haunted Entrance Dome Layer set.

Attach an adhesive label - or a sticker sheet - to black poly/wool felt.  Cut the Poppystamps Whittle Cat.  The adhesive backing stabilizes the felt and prevents liquid adhesives from soaking thru the diecut.

Cut the bat from the Haunted Dome Layer set with the black 6x6 sheet in the Frosted Glitter Sheet.

Attach ¼" wide strips of doublestick tape behind the window and door cutouts on the house. Attach the house dome to the yellow background.  Brush unltrafine iridescent glitter onto the adhesive to illuminate the windows and door.

Attach the diecuts to the card - use foam dots for the pumpkins.
