Remember vellum? It's great stamped and layered for light, airy butterflies from the Flowering Cactus Clear Stamp and Die Set. Pair it with the bold cactus and a quick greeting - these design elements are all included in the versatile set. The vellum cactus highlights some of the background color variations.
Hi...Jean Okimoto here with a quick-stamped and diecut card for a busy weekend. Stamp the cactus and butterflies on colored vellum with Onyx Black VersaFine Clair. Emboss them with detail clear powder - take a few extra steps to protect the vellum. Begin by briefly pre-heating the back of the image - hold the heat-tool about 4" away. Finish the embossing from the front, with the heat tool about 4" away again. Pre-heating from the backside helps prevent overheating and scorching the image. It also seems to offset the curling caused by the heat.
Cover the entire reverse side of stamped cactus with lined doublestick tape and diecut it. Attach ¼" strips of lined doublestick tape just behind the center of the wide butterflies and cut it. Attach a ¼" strip behind the left edge of the narrow butterfly and cut it. The ¼" strips will adhere just portions of the butterflies.

Cut a strip of inked or watercolored paper with the approximately 1-½" x 6-½" Wrapped Stitch Slim Rectangle die.
Attach the diecuts to a white slimline card (3-½" x 8-½").
Stamp the greeting on the light teal 6x6 from the Fresh Aqua Collection with Warm Breeze VersaFine Clair. Attach it with foamdots.
Color Clear Jewels with a turquoise Sharpie of Copic Marker and add them to the card.

Big thanks to everyone who ordered my new Bloomers Card Kit from Impress here in Seattle! I'm shipping kits to Stamps and Memories in Hawaii too.
Thanks for viewing the project - enjoy the weekend. See you again on Thursday!
