Here's a quartet of cards featuring the WILLOW GLOBE 94559 with the HELLO STREAMLINED SCRIPT 94540:
Let's look at one close up and see how I put the pieces together.
- I started with a white notecard and covered the front with one of the print papers where the floral corner would peek through the globe frame.
- I die cut the Willow Globe twice, once from the striped paper and once from a solid green cardstock from the Lush Green Collection and layered them just a tiny bit askew before gluing the image in the lower left corner.
- I also cut the birds and flowers from that set twice from the same solid green cardstock. I added the flowers to the vines and the birds outside the globe toward the upper right.
- I cut the Hello from a scrap of the striped paper and added it to the card .
The other cards are made in a similar way with the mustard/stripe/reds card using only one layer of the Willow Globe.
For something a little different I made one more card that also included the EUCALYPTUS COLLAGE 94524:
I think these will get boxed up as a gift with envelopes, stamps, and a pretty pen as they can be used at any time of the year. If I decide to keep them and send them out one by one I will probably add Fairy Jewels to the flower centers for some extra sparkle.
Happy Crafting!
I would never think to use paper this way, yet it is an effective way to create a card. Nice designs and a good use of papers.
