Hello everyone. I decided to deconstruct the Floral Chain from the Sumner Daydreams release to create a colourful rainbow wreath birthday card for a friend’s birthday next month.
The Floral Chain was die cut from Bristol paper then cut apart with scissors. Kept a few of the fuller flowers then die cut out more individual flowers with one end of the die to complete the wreath. Used finger brushes to apply distress inks (DI) to the centers and edges of the petals in rainbow colours. Curled and shaped the petals with my fingers, then lightly spritz with water from behind since DI reacts with water. Set aside to dry.
The background panel is cream woodgrain paper trimmed to A2 size (4.25”x5.5”) and scored horizontally in 1” increments using a scoring tool. The sentiment from Signature Greetings was heat embossed with white embossing powder on black cardstock then die cut out with the coordinating die. Next, a circle frame was die cut from more of the cream woodgrain paper using dies from Circle Basics. This frame is what the flowers were attached to and ensured the circular wreath shape.
Assembled the card onto a white card base, popping the sentiment up with mounting tape. Clear shimmer on the flowers and coordinating color jewels to the flower centers finished off the card.
And that’s it! Thank you for joining me today. Have a wonderful week.

What a beautiful rainbow wreath card and great idea to deconstruct the floral chain die and get even more out of your dies. Great idea too to score the woodgrain paper. What a fabulous card Trina x.
