Masculine Thank You Card by Sara Cook

I have another thank you card today.  This one is masculine.  My son didn't purchase his graduation announcements and thank you cards in time and since I am a card maker and Memory Box has the product I have been making them myself.  This way I get to create custom cards for the recipient.  This is a quick and easy card to recreate or reproduce. it can easily be simplified as well.

BackGround:

Rub Distress Ground Espresso ink on the Toolshed 3D embossing folder and emboss with Kraft Woodgrain Paper.  Trim down 4 1/4" by 4 1/4".  Die cut the Thanks Cursive Scrip die in the center. Color the tools with CRAF-T metallic Rub-on paint.

Sentiment:

Die cut the Thanks Cursive Scrip die from Kraft Woodgrain Paper.

Assembly:

Card base is a white top folding 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" size.  Cut a dark brown from Earth Natural paper pack to 41/2"x41/2".  Adhere the brown paper to the card base.  Adhere the background to the center of the brown paper.  Adhere the Thanks circle die cut to the center.

Out of This World THANK YOU Card by Sara Cook

I have a eye catching thank you card for you today using the new Grand Galaxy3D embossing folder.  This technique to create the 3D background can be used for any occasion.

3D Background:

I highly recommend using only Memory Box water color paper for this technique.  It is the only water color paper I know that will hold up to what I did to it.  it is pretty amazing the paper did not rip or tear and stayed flat.  Spray water Memory Box watercolor paperon the paper and then lightly add Nuevo Shimmer Powders  Solar Flare, Blue Blits and Catherine wheel.  Spritz with more water and add more powder under you get areas of yellow, red, and blue.  Let dry.  

Ink blend with Distress Black Shoot ink, leaving some of the yellow, red, and blue areas open.  Let completely dry. Emboss with the Grand Galaxy folder   Take a sand block and sand way the ink from the raised surfaces.  For me not enough of the color would sand off.  I tried adding water with a brush to just the .planets and dab off with a paper towel.  If not enough color comes of I then sanded the wet paper to remove the ink.  The paper did not tear nor rip in this process!  This is why I recommend the Memory Box water color paper for this technique.  Let dry.  Then take a gold gel pe and color over some of the stars.  

Sentiment:Twiggy Thank You from a gold from the Polished Foiled paper and black card stock.  Glue the 2 die cuts together for a more depth.  

Assembly:

The card base is black 6 1/4" x 5".  The gold is the same for the sentiment 6 1/8" x 4 3/4.  The purple is from Twilight Purplecut down to 6"x43/4".  The 3D embosesed background is cut do 53/4"x41/2".  Adhere all the layers together and then adhere the sentiment.

Quick-Stick Glitter Trick by Jean Okimoto

Adding glitter to a watercolored background and attaching detailed diecuts can take a few minutes. Here's an easy way to do both - at one time!  Hi, Jean Okimoto here with a simple thank you from our Summer Daydreams release.

Cut watercolor paper with the 3rd-largest Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die.  Brush or sponge it with loose, overlapping layers of ink.  Blend some areas with splotchy, watery brushstrokes.  Distresss Oxide colors used here are squeezed lemonade, peacock feathers, twisted citron and cracked pistachio.  Set it aside to dry.

Score white cardstock at 3-¼" and 6-¾".  Trim the cardstock to 8-½" x 7-½" - it's ¾" beyond the 6-¾" scoreline.  The 3-¼" panel folds inside to conceal the ink-blended cardstock.  The ¾" tab will be attached behind the back panel

Prep the Twiggy Thank You and Eucalyptus Collage dies by rubbing them briskly with scrunched waxed paper to help release the delicate pieces.  Cut the 3-½" center panel with both dies - keep them fairly close together to leave space on the short ends.  Save the skinny inside triangle for the "A" - and the oval inside the "0."

Attach Scor-Tape to the inked side of the watercolor paper - save the tape liner.  Attach the saved triangle for the A and and the oval for the O.  Place the cardstock - sticky-side down - on a nonstick surface.  Carefully attach the adhesive-covered piece behind the diecuts.  Attach the centers for the letters A and O.  Press it with the saved liner to secure the diecuts.  Brush ultrafine iridescent glitter over the remaining exposed adhesive.  Impress' Sparkle Glitter is perfect for this.

Fold and attach the 3-¼" panel to the inside. Cut a 3-½" x 8-½" piece of white cardstock and attach it to the ¾" tab for the back of the card. Attach turquoise jewels from the Bright Jewels set.  Sounds complicated, but it's really easy and it's a process that works with all of collage dies.

Two Cards with Elegant Succulent Stamps and Dies by Angie Cimbalo

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with two cards featuring a brand new stamp set just recently released with the newest 2021 Summer Daydreams release, called "Elegant Succulent Sentiments.."  These are so lovely and I really enjoyed creating both a slimline and a mini slimline card with these stamps and dies.  Here's a closer look at my first card, a mini slimline card:

For my first card, I stamped the image in black ink and heat embossed it in clear embossing powder, then colored it with Distress Inks and a water brush. After it dried, I added colored pencil accents and then used the coordinating die to cut it out.

I placed it in the lower left corner of a mini slimline card (3" by 6") and adhered it with liquid glue.
Next, I heat embossed the sentiment from the same set and adhered it to the top right corner, cutting off the excess that was hanging off. Here's one last look at my card:

Here's the 2nd card I made:

For my 2nd card using the same set, I first took a piece of Yupo paper and added lots of alcohol inks in blues and greens and used my heat tool to blow it and move it around between layers.

Next, I took a piece of clear acetate and stamped in Versamark ink and heat embossed the large stamp in white.

I added a piece of double sided adhesive to it and after peeling the other side off, I laid it on top of the alcohol inked paper.

Using the coordinating die, I cut the acetate/alcohol ink image and then added it to a regular size slimline card (8.5" by 3.5") and then popped up the circle sentiment at the bottom on foam tape. I made that sentiment circle the same way that I made the one for the first card.

I hope you like my cards. I think this stamp set has not only beautiful succulent images, but lots of simply gorgeous sentiments that look so pretty with their combined fonts.

Say Hello With Flowers by Michelle Bala

Hello there! Michelle here, sharing a card I created using the newest release, Summer Daydreams.  I die cut the new Floral Chain die two times. I colored the blossoms with Copic Markers in shades RV00, RV52, RV55; YG93, YG95, YG97, and YG99. I added some white accents with a gel pen.

I trimmed the background panel of Woodgrain Paper in Kraft. I used the White Woodgrain Paper and die cut the panel using a Wrapped Stitched Rectangle Die.  I adhered the layers with foam tape for dimension. I die cut the word Hello using Hello Streamlined Script Die and Lush Green Paper Pack.

For a finishing touch I scattered some clear jewels.

Eucalyptus Collage with Delicate Wreath for a Trio of Hello Cards by Anne Thompson

Eventually I am going to run out of plaid paper...but not today!  I love mixing up Memory Box plaids with Memory Box dots and Memory Box solid cardstock collections as well as thinking up ways to use dies in new combinations.  Today's three cards involve all of those as I pulled plaids and dot papers from my odds and ends box to make three cards.

Here's a look at the first card.

• White notecard covered with a red plaid paper
• Black/red/gold plaid paper trimmed to 5 X 4.25 and cut with EUCALYPTUS COLLAGE 94524 and attached to card front
• Red cardstock from BERRY RED 6X6 PACK SP1001 die cut with DELICATE WREATH 94475 and glued onto the circle edge
• HELLO STREAMLINED SCRIPT 94540 cut from a scrap of red plaid paper and glued in the top right corner
• Gold Fairy Jewels from BRIGHT JEWELS JWL003

Card Two

• Pale green dot paper to cover front of white notecard
• Green cardstock from LUSH GREEN 6X6 PACK SP1003 for the Eucalyptus Collage; note the changed orientation of the cut out this time
• Green plaid for the Delicate Wreath and the Hello Streamlined Script
• Fairy Jewels

Card Three

• Green plaid to cover the front of a white notecard and for the Hello Streamlined Script
• A different green plaid for the Eucalyptus Collage 
• Solid green cardstock from the Lush Green Collection for the Delicate Wreath
• Fairy Jewels applied to the wreath this time

Three cards I can send any time!  Adding the Delicate Wreath to the Eucalyptus Collage brings more dimension and interest to that image. Using plaid papers that have the gold stripes and Fairy Jewels bring on the bling.

Slimline Trio of Castle Collages by Jean Okimoto

Send birthday wishes with a layered slimline tri-fold of castle collages from the Summer Daydreams Collection.  The collages are usually layered from small-to-large for a 3-D effect - they're stacked out of sequence here for a different look.  Hello, Jean Okimoto here -  hope you're enjoying your weekend!

Score 8-½" x 10-½" light gray cardstock at 3-½" and 7".  Diecut Fantasy Castle Collage from the front of the first panel.  Diecut Stone Keep Castle Collage from the backside of the second panel.

Cut three of the moat border from the Fantasy Castle Collage.  Attach one to the front of the Fantasy Castle Collage - and another one behind the Fantasy Castle Collage for added support.  The backside of the Fantasy Castle Collage panel is shown above.  Trim the 3rd moat border and attach it to the front of the Stone Keep Castle Collage for added interest.  

Cut the smoother side of Open Studio Watercolor Paper with the 4-⅛" tall Nested Globes die.  Brush or sponge it with overlapping layers of Distress Oxides.  Colors used here are squeezed lemonade, abandoned coral, kitsch flamingo and peacock feathers.  Spray it with a light layer of Imagine's Frost Sheer Shimmer Spritz. Air-dry it for a few minutes, then heat-set it. 

Cut Imperial Castle Collage from light gray cardstock and trim the bottom and sides.  Attach it to the globe diecut.  

Stamp the greetings from the Majestic Achievements Clear Stamp and Die Set - on the pink 6x6 sheet from the Berry Red Pack with Morning Mist VersaFine Clair.  Cut them with the coordinating dies.  Attach the birthday banner with foamtape.  

Color 5 Clear Jewels with pink and orange Sharpie or Copic Markers and attach them to the card.

Beautiful Things with Flowering Cactus by Angie Cimbalo

Hello and welcome, it's Angie here today with this lovely cactus stamp and die set called "Flowering Cactus" from the newest Memory Box release.  It's a pretty large image with lots of gorgeous details.

Here's a closer look at my card:

I stamped the image in Versamark ink and heat embossed it in white on watercolor paper. I watercolored it with Distress Inks and re-inkers. Once it dried, I added colored pencils to it for more depth.

Next I used the coordinating die and cut the watercolored image out and added it to a piece of Memory Box cream color woodgrain paper.  The woodgrain paper comes in white, cream, and kraft and has a very subtle texture that adds so much to your cards without distracting from the main focal image.  Below you can see the woodgrain pattern better:

I heat embossed the sentiment and the 2 butterflies from the set in white on black card stock.
I used a black mat cut slightly larger than my woodgrain paper and then added that to a 5" by 7" card base.
Lastly I added Pastel Fairy Jewels, also from Memory Box. Here's one last look at my card:

I had a lot of fun stamping and coloring this image and creating this card. The new release is full of amazing products, including dies, stamps, and embossing folders. I hope you will check them all out HERE!

Hello there! Michelle here, sharing a very royal birthday card! I really love the newest release, Summer Daydreams!! 

This adorable stamp and die combo is called Majestic Achievements. It's perfect for many occasions. I love the crown and parchment scroll!!! I inked up the card base with distress oxide inks and colored all the images with Copic Markers. I added some Pastel Jewels to give some sparkle!

This is one of those stamp sets to definitely need and will become your go to stamp set!!

Sand(paper) Sandcastles by the Sea by Jean Okimoto

Build sandpaper sandcastles by the sea with the new Fantasy and Stone Keep Castle Collages. Trim the bottom edges and take them from collage designs to freestanding diecuts on beachy summer cards.  Hi, Jean Okimoto here combining the Under the Sea and Summer Daydreams Collections - and transforming castles from royal residences to sandy architecture.

Prep the Fantasy and Stone Keep Castle Collage dies by rubbing them briskly with scrunched waxed paper to help release the tiny pieces.  If your sandpaper starts to curl, attach it to adhesive label paper or a sticker sheet to stabilize it.  Diecut 100- and 150-grit sandpaper for a slight variation in color and texture.  No mass-produced sandcastles here!  Trim the bottoms.

Paint watercolor paper with diluted refill inks in blues, teals and greens.  Air-dry it,  then spritz it with Imagine's Gold Sheer Shimmer Spritz. Air-dry it for a few minutes, then heat-set it.  Cut it with the 3" x 4.1" Nested Globes die.

Cut Graceful Ocean Birds from the pale blue-white Delicate Pastels 6x6 Glitter sheet.  Save the 3rd bird for another project.  Cut the birds again from a dark gray 6x6 in Earth Neutral Collection.  Trim the glittered legs and tip of the beak. Layer the glittered diecuts over the black diecuts - slightly offset for a shadowed look.

Cut the teal 6x6 from the Fresh Aqua Collection with the 4-¼" x 5-½" die.  Attach it to a side-folded white A2 card.  Attach the diecuts - use foamtape for the standing bird. Add the medium-sized Fairy Drops.
