Hello everyone! Today's card features products from the new Memory Box Summer Daydreams Collection. I saw a fun technique that Gina K demonstrated on her Youtube channel called Emerging Watercolor.
I taped a piece of watercolor paper to my surface and colored the background using two colors of Tombow Markers. You can use any water based markers, watercolor or inks for this technique.
Once my background was colored, I used a paintbrush and plain water to blend the color. I dried the background completely, then used embossing ink to stamp the fish on the background. I used clear embossing powder to heat emboss the stamped fish.
Next, I sprayed the background with water and used a dry paper towel to pick up the color. I did this several times to remove as much color as I could. The embossing powder acts as a resist and the end result is almost a batik look to your background.
Once the background was dry I used the Wrapped Stitch Rectangles to die cut my paper. I glued two strips of orange cardstock to the background and used foam tape to adhere the die cut anchor to the card.
I die cut the banner from white cardstock, stamped "Happy Birthday" in orange ink and used foam tape to glue it to my card.
I used foam tape to adhere the card front to a white card base and glued some Fairy Drops to finish off the card.
Thanks for stopping by today!

I love this card; I immediately thought of my so in the Navy. I have been looking for a large anchor die; I didn’t see it listed in your supplies. Would you mind sharing where you found the anchor die?
