Create an underwater scene for the Whale Family with two offcuts from dies in the Under the Sea Collection. Hi, Jean Okimoto here with an easy way to build a wonky, abstract background from offcuts. The Word Balloon and greeting are from the new Poppystamps Whittle Wonders Collection. I buy Poppystamps designs to make card kits for Impress here in Seattle and Stamps and Memories in Hawaii. Memory Box and Poppystamps products are a great combination!
Cut the large frame from the End of My Rose Set from dark purple sheet in the 6x6 Twilight Purple Collection. Save the rope-textured frame for another project - we'll use the big curve-y offcut here.
Blend turquoise, green, blue and purple inks on heavy white cardstock. Spritz it lightly with water and heat-set the inks. Cut it with Deepwater Collage. Save the outer collage diecut for another project - we're using the curve-y interior offcut again.
Score and fold a side-folded lavender A2 card. Use a corner rounder to trim the top left and bottom right corners to match the shape of the purple offcut - two rounded corners and two pointy corners.
Cut Whale Family from the blue-gray 6x6 sheet in the Stormy Collection. Use scrap paper to mask the top portions of the whales and ink the textured bottom sections and the tail edges with Memento Luxe Wedding Dress. Heat-set the ink.
Cut the Word Balloon from a scrap of the card's cardstock. Stamp the greeting with Teal Zeal Memento.
Assemble the card - use foamtape for the whales. Add jewel stickers from the multi-colored Bright Jewels and clear Fairy Drops. If you're mailing the card, protect the card front with a layer of scrap cardstock. Special handling and additional postage may be required for this card.
Enjoy and appreciate the versatility of your dies - there are so many ways to use them!
Thanks for visiting...see you again on Sunday!
