Celebrate a summer birthday with Layered Fresh Flowers on a soft background of Sunset Blush Wide Washi Tape. Hi, Jean Okimoto here with a simple slimline design for a birthday gal who loves flowers.
I usually decide on a design, then select the Memory Box items I want to use. Tried the opposite approach for this card - I wanted to use the Stylish Rectangle Trio, 6x6 paper collections, Birthday Mail Posh Script, Layered Fresh Flowers, Clear Jewels and Sunset Blush Wide Washi Tape.
Attach Sunset Blush Wide Washi Tape to white cardstock and cut it with the medium-sized Stylish Rectangle Trio. Remove just the narrow wedge-shaped offcuts - leave the delicate frame and large center rectangle in the die. Add doublestick tape or tiny dots of glue, then flip the diecuts (still in the die) over and press it onto a white slimline card (3-½ x 8-½"). A quick background...done!
Color 5 Clear Jewels with markers - I used the bright orange and pink Sharpies. Set the jewels aside to dry. Clear jewels and markers make it easy to create custom-colored accents to complement your designs.
Cut two sets of Layered Fresh Flowers from two shades of pink 6x6 sheets from the Fresh Berry Collection. Assemble the flowers - switch the colors of the roundish centers.
Cut Birthday Mail Posh Script from two shades of the green 6x6 sheets in the Lush Green Collection. Attach a scrap of the lighter green behind the dot for the "i" in Birthday.
Assemble the card - use foamtape for the big flower. Add the custom-colored jewel stickers.
Take advantage of the floral watercolored look of the Sunset Blush Wide Washi Tape - and all of the color-matching options of our 6x6 paper collections - to create unique color combinations for fresh floral cards.
Thanks for visiting - see you next week!
