Greetings Friends. I wanted to share with you a couple of cards I made using the Crystal Frame die as well as some of the new Memory Box plaid papers. The frame is a great way to really highlight whatever sentiment you desire.
For the first card, I chose a purple and yellow color scheme to really make the card "pop." I started with solid papers from the Sunny Orange pack and then added elements from the Twilight Purple pack. The plaid is from the Madras Plaid Blue and Violet collection. I cut out each color/pattern with the same Crystal Frame die and then paper-pieced them together to get the look I wanted. The nice thing about that is now I have a lot of leftover pieces to make a couple more cards.
To finish the first card, I added my sentiment and then cut out pieces from the new Layered Daisies set to build my own flower. Most of the flower consists of cardstock from the Sunny Orange pack, but I added a little Copic marker to the petals to give them a bit of dimension.
I made a second card using some of the extra pieces from the first card. I figure if you have your machine out and are diecutting, you might as well make several cards. To finish this card, I used a thank you die as well as some lavender and a little bit of twine.
I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday. If you celebrate Easter, I wish you a happy holiday.
Supplies
Anything purple in any shade always attracts my attention and these 2 cards are lovely. I really must get the frame die and the lavender stems one too. Great creations.
