Celebrate friendship with a felt Bunny Face and big hugs spelled out in bold Wooden Alpha letters.  Madras Plaid Coral and Green prints are great throughout the year - and are a perfect match for the new Berry Red and Lush Green 6x6 Collections.  Hi, Jean Okimoto here with a spring-ish design that would work throughout the year.

Here's a tip for selecting and diecutting the perfect section of printed papers for your design.  Diecut scrap paper in a contrasting color - then use the offcut as a template to find the right area to cut.  Attach the template to the printed paper, place the die into the cutout and diecut exactly what you need.  No guessing required!

Attach adhesive label paper (or a sticker sheet) to gray felt and diecut the main Bunny Face section.  The paper backing stabilizes the felt and keeps glues from soaking through.  Attach a scrap of black cardstock behind the eyes.

Cut the outer ears from one of the coral Madras Plaid sheets.  Cut the layered face section from the gray dotted Dashing Stripes and Dots 6x6.  Punch a ¼" dot of pink cardstock from the Berry Red Collection and attach it behind the notched area on the face section.  (A fidgety little detail...but it makes a big difference.)

Cut the Wooden Alpha H, G and S from the pink cardstock too.  I think Bunny Face looks (vaguely) like the letter U - hope you agree!

Cut white cardstock with the 7-¼ x 2-¼"  Wrapped Stitched Slim Rectangle die.  Trim (or mask) the bottom of the "sending love" clear stamp from Poppystamps Diamond Sentiments Clear Stamp and Die set. Stamp it with Starlite Black Brilliance.  Stamp "to a wonderful friend" too.

Cut two detached hearts - from the Heart Streamer Globe set - from the pink 6x6 Delicate Pastels Glitter sheet.

Attach everything to a white slimline card (3-½ x 8-½").

Have fun with variations of this basic design.  Use your favorite colors, little prints and felt scraps.  Thanks for visiting!

Slimline Hello
by Michelle Bala

3

Hello there! I'm stopping by today to share a slimline card, CAS style! It's easy to create using the Slimline Basic Rectangle Layers Dies.  I created the card base that measures 3 1/2 x 8 1/2. Than die cut two slimline rectangle layers. Using the top layer, I positioned the Wooden Alpha Dies to spell HELLO. I secured the first three letters with washi tape, than die cut. Reposition the last two and die cut.

1

After the letters were die cut, I used Copic Markers to color them. I die cut the Gerber Stems and used Copics to color. Reposition the letters, secure with washi tape, adhere the panel with foam tape tot he middle panel.  Remove the washi tape. Adhere the middle panel with foam tape to the card base. Emboss and trim the sentiment from the stamp set, Joyful Moments Clear Stamp Set.

2

Adhere the gerber stems. I finished the card with some gems.

Thanks for stopping by!

Glitter Easter Egg Card with Video
by Sara Cook

I have an easy Easter card that has layers for a stunning effect.  Check out the video tutorial, link below.

E7CB8CAA-6345-4F3F-904F-2A22ABA64FCC_1_201_a

I used the Rustic Tree and Bramble Collage dies and cut out a medium and light green paper from the Lush Green paper pack.  Die cut the Rustic Tree Collage die out of the darker of the green paper and the Bramble Collage die from the lighter green.  Trim the papers to 4 1/4"x5 1/2".

For the background I ink blended  Squeezed Lemon Aid, Spun Sugar, and Tumbled Glass Distresss Oxide Iinks in a rainbow effect.

Add double sided adhesive foam tape to the back of the darker green paper and adhere to the lighter green paper.  Adhere the 2 stacked papers over the ink blended background and then adhere to a A2 size card.

BEE87A32-BB76-45B4-B335-8618AE319FE2_1_105_c

I die cut eggs using Half Dozen Eggs die set and Delicate Pastel Glitter pack.  I glued the egg die cuts on the front of the card.

Sentiment:

I used the Happy Easter Posh Scrip die and ut it out of pink Delicate Pastel Glitter paper an adhere to the top center of the card.

Hello Card
by Donna Sledzik

IMG_2612

Good morning everyone! Today I have a fun background technique using a Gelli Plate.  This is a gelatin like surface that you can apply paint or ink to and create a print.

To create the background, I stamped the flower images with Black Archival ink onto the Gelli Plate.

IMG_2577

The ink needs a few minutes to dry before paint is applied to the plate.

I squeezed 3 colors of acrylic paint onto the Gelli Plate and used a brayer to spread the paint. You only need a small amount of paint for this step. Once the paint is on the plate, I used a few household items to add some texture.

IMG_2589

In the photo above you can see how thin the layer of paint is. I waited a few minutes for the paint to dry, then added a layer of white acrylic paint over the whole plate. I used a brayer to spread the paint onto the plate.

I placed a piece of white cardstock onto the plate and rubbed it with my fingers to transfer the paint to the paper.

IMG_2590

I love all the texture that shows up on the print.

Next, I stamped the flowers on watercolor paper, then painted and die cut them.

I trimmed my printed paper and glued it to a black cardstock layer. Next, I used foam tape to adhere my flowers to the background. I spattered the piece with white paint. When the paint was dry, I adhered it to a green cardstock mat. I glued this to a white card base.

IMG_2608

To finish the card, I stamped the word "hello" and used foam tape to adhere it to the  card front.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend!

It Means So Much...
by Michelle Bala

3

Hello there! Michelle here. Today I watercolored  All the Happiness stamp and die set. I stamped the bouquet image onto Open Studio Watercolor Paper. I used Karin Brushmarker set to color the flowers, leaves and berries.  After the bouquet has dried, die cut and set aside.

1

I trimmed a piece of watercolor paper to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and adhere to a card base. I added a light water wash of gray color to the  panel. I used the Crystal Corner Die and die cut a piece of green paper from the Lush Green 6x6 paper pack. I adhered the corner die cut in the corner, and layered the bouquet over the corner die cut.

2

I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set, Joyful Moments. I added some splatters of the gray water wash. I added some gems.

Thanks for stopping by for a peek! Enjoy your week!

Handmade Easter Baskets with Video
by Sara Cook

Hello everyone. I have an Easter basket project today using the Spring Plaid Slim line paper pack.  This is an easy and fun project you can your kids can do together.  Check out the YouTube tutorial, link below.

26FDE6A4-B611-47C7-B399-AF6E53310469_1_201_a

Basket:

Cut 2 pieces of matching slim line papers to 8 1/4" in length, removing the hole. Choose what side is inside of the basket and what is the outside.  Score 1/4" along the top of the inside of the paper and score at 4 1/4".  Turn paper and score 1/4" from edge of paper down the longest side at 3 1/4"..  Score the 2nd paper the same way. Fold along the score lines.  This will create 1/4" flaps along top and along 1 side of the paper.  Cut the corners of the each flap.  Then cut the long flap at the 4 1/4" score only up to the flap.  Cut the corners on each flap.  Glue the short flaps and adhere to the other side of the  paper to form a box.  Cut a base out of matching paper to 4"x4".  Add glue to the flaps from inside of the box and put the 4"x4" paper over the glued flaps.  To make the handle cut a strip of paper 11"x1".  Shape to form a curve.  Add glue to bottom 1/2" end of the strip and adhere to inside of the box.  Add glue to the other end and adhere to the other side of the box.

Now for the fun part, decorating!  This is where you use your creativity to embellish the basket how you want. Below are some ideas to get you started.

I used Wild Glass Boarder die to make a a grassy board around a basket.  Added eggs die cute out of Delicate Pastel Glitter paper using the Half Dozen Eggs die and and bunny die cut out of white paper using the Gentle Bunny Die.

2BF3914C-E2E2-42A3-9B14-A23A8412E4F7_1_201_a

I die cut the smaller flower of the Layered Cosmos craft die out of white paper and colored it with Pan Pastels.  Each flower used 3 layers of flowers.  Added a matching butterfly using the Glade Butterfly die.  Colored the base using Copic markers.  Cut out the top layer out of gold paper from the Polished Foil pad and glued it on top.   Arrange the elements on the basket.

Now fill with your favorite Easter candy.  My basket will be filled with chocolate.
