Hello Daisy by Sara Cook
Hope everyone is having a good spring so far. I have lively spring card that is quick and colorful using Memory Box watercolor paper and Daisy Stem die.
Background:
Die cut the Memory Box watercolor paper with the 2nd largest die from Wrapped Stitched Rectangles set. Stamped the paper with the Typewriter Holiday Element word background stamp and white heat embossed. Wet both sides of the paper with water. I picked out 4 colors to watercolor with from my paints, bright yellow, a light green, a turquoise, and a blue. Randomly dap the color starting with the lightest to the darkest until the paper is mostly colored. Let the water blend the colors and only lightly touch the color together with your paintbrush. The background does not need to be fully painted. Let dry.
Flower:
Die cut the Daisy Stem flower die from the lightest yellow paper from the Sunny Orange paper pack and both stem and leaves die from a green paper from the Lush Green paper back. I lightly added watercolored the die cuts with the matching paint used in the background. I did add a light brown paint to the base of the daisy. Let dry.
Sentiment:
I stamped the hello sentiment from the Big and Little Reverse Words set with a matching aqua pigment ink, I used Fresh Ink Spruce ink pad. Die cut the sentiment with the matching die.
Assemble:
Adhere the background watercolor to a matching color paper. I chose the darkest paper from the Fresh Aqua paper pack and trim down to 5"x3 3/4" to create a boarder. Then adhere it to a A2 card base. Glue the flowers together and then on the stem. Adhere the leave setem and then the flower to the center of the card. Adhere the sentiment over the lower portion of the flower with foam tape.
Supplies
Pretty color combination!
