Floral Shaker Card with Video
by Sara Cook

Welcome everyone.  Hope you're ready for some creativity.  I have a floral shaker card featuring the Stained Glass Floral die cut from the spring release.  I have a video for this card as well, link is below.

Start by die cutting the Stained Glass Floral die out of 110lb white card stock, twice.  Keep 1 set of the flower petals and leaves.  Use Washi or low tack tape to secure the petals and leaves back into the die cut.  Color each petal using Copic markers, YR07 for the dark tone and YR02 for the light tone.  Flick the darker orange from the bottom of each petal to the middle leaving streaks.  Use the light tone, YR02, and blend from the bottom to the top.  Take the YR07 and color just at the bottom on each petal.  For the center of the flow use Copi Y00.  Don't worry about any extra color on the outside of the die cut, that is why the other die cut is for. For each leaf use the same technique with YG03 the dark tone and YG11 as the light tone.  Glue the other die cut on top.

For the top paper of the shaker card, choose a paid pattern from Madras Plaid Coral and Green. I chose one with grid lines and centered the die in the middle.  Cut the paper to 4"x51/4", keeping a 3/4" boarder from the cut out on each side and top of the paper. Glue acetate on the back side making sure to cover the square cut out.  Glue on the Stained Glass Floral die cut on the shaker window.

On the back side of the plaid paper add double sided adhesive around the cut out.  Make sure not to leave any gaps.  Create a top fold A2 card out of 110lb while card stock.  Place the shaker element in the center of the card base.  I used HAI Supply TMM Cherry Blossoms.  Remove the bacon from the foam tape, center, and place on the card base.

Die cut Glade butterfly base out of white 80lb card stock and the top die from the darker gold from Polished Fold Pad.  Color the butterfly base with Copics.  Go from darker on the outside to lighter on the inside blending the colors.  Darkest is YR02, then R20, and Y00.  Glue the gold top to the bottom.

Die cut Just a Note Posh Script bottom die out of 110lb card stock and top die from the darker gold from Polished Fold Pad.  Glue the top die cut on the bottom.

Glue the sentiment below the shaker window and the butterfly in the bottom right hand corner pop the shaker window
