Slimline Seed Stems and a Wrapped Stitched Rectangle by Jean Okimoto

Tall and slim (wishful thinking!) is easy with the new slimline dies from the 2021 Spring Collection. The 5-piece set of Wrapped Stitched Slim Rectangles adds a casual, artsy look when you need a simple accent strip to balance the main design elements. The 13-piece Slim Basic Rectangle Layers is great for cutting the new plaids - and anything else requiring the right proportions for slimline cards.

Hi, Jean Okimoto here with a slimline card featuring our newest 6x6 papers and the delicate Seed Stems set. Gardens may be resting - or covered in snow - right now, but we have a new collection of dies and Color Wheel cardstock 6x6's to create pretty floral cards for any occasion.

Cut the 6x6 Madras Plaid Coral and Green sheet with the 6.4" x 1.4" Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die. Cut it vertically to include a bit of extra paper at the top edge near the punched hole.

Cut the coral sheet from the Berry Red 6x6 Color Wheel set with the smallest Wrapped Stitched Slim Rectangle die.

Cut a 1" x 4-½" strip of Open Studio Watercolor Paper - mine was from a stash of paper brayered and sponged with orange, pink and coral inks.

Cut the delicate, airy new Seed Stems from white cardstock.

Stamp the greeting - from the new Big and Little Reverse Words clear stamp and die set - on white cardstock with Morocco Memento Luxe. Heat-set the ink, let it cool, then cut it with the greeting strip die included in the stamp set. No wonky-trimming here!

Attach everything to a white slimline card (3-½" x 8-½") - use foamtape for the greeting. Add ¼" dots punched from the yellow Graceful Garden Glitter Pad sheet.
