Have you entered our February Pretty Purples Challenge?
Here's a Spring Collection card with a mix of purples ranging from soft lavenders to bright violets, and everything in between. Hi, happy weekend - Jean Okimoto here with a new collage die and two butterfly sets that just couldn't wait for warmer weather.
Cut an 8-⅝" x 7-¼" piece of white cardstock. Prep the new Slim Diagonal Collage by rubbing it briskly with scrunched waxed paper to help release the little pieces. Cut the cardstock with the Slim gDiagonal Collage. Score and fold the cardstock at 3-⅝" for a slimline card.
Cut an 8-½" x 3-¼ piece of white cardstock. Center it (temporarily) under the collage cutout and lightly pencil-mark the corners of the collage. Attach Cornelia Violet 1" Washi Tape to cover slightly beyond the pencil marks. Attach the rectangle behind the cardfront.
Cut the detailed Sylvan Buttterfly and Glade Butterfly from the Frosted Glitter Pad violet sheet. Cut the solid Sylvan and Glade butterflies from scraps of ink-blended cardstock.
Stamp the greeting - from the new Joyful Moments Clear Stamp Set - on the pale lavender dotted Springtime Bouquet Stripes and Dots 6x6 sheet with Imagine Crafts Neon Purple. Heat-set the ink.
Punch ¼" dots of the purple Frosted Glitter Pad sheet. Attach the greeting, then add the butterflies using foamtape.
The Slim Diagonal Collage looks great over anything - tiny prints, solid colors, watercolors or abstract backgrounds. It multi-tasks for embossing and stenciling too.
Thanks for visiting - see you again on Thursday...

This is just gorgeous and not because its purples, (my faves) but the design is unique and pretty. Love it all.

So many beautiful new things to buy! First of all, the color scheme is lovely and that diagonal collage die with the washi tape peeking through is really a terrific idea. The new two piece butterfly dies are just beautiful, as always. I also am enjoying the many slim, longer cards you are designing. Thank you for the inspiration!
