It's a very different Christmas this year - winter pastels and muted textures somehow seem so right for 2020. Hi everyone - Jean Okimoto here with my last Christmas design of the season. We're looking forward to sharing our Valentine 2021 designs with you soon!
Cut light gray cardstock with the 3" Circle Basics die. Prep the Stitched Burst die by rubbing it briskly with scrunched waxed paper to help remove the tiny dots. Cut the circle with Stitched Burst. Use Scotch Transparent Tape to attach pink floss to the backside of the diecut. Begin at an outer point, skip over 4 points and stitch through the 5th point. Repeat around the circle.
Sew a stitch from the second hole to the bottom of each row of dots. Tape the floss to the backside and trim off the excess.
Use pink sparkly yarn for the final stitching - from one outer point to the outer point on the opposite side.
Cut Knotted Diamond Background from light gray cardstock - leave everything in the die. Attach strips of tape across the back of the diecut to keep the pieces intact.
Cut light gray cardstock with Pinpoint Snowflake Plate. Trim it to 2-½" wide. Attach the background panels and Stitched Burst to a pink A-6 card - use foam tape to attach the Stitched Burst.
Prep pink cardstock with the embossing powder tool to eliminate stray specks of embossing powder. Stamp the greeting - from the Spirit of Christmas Clear Stamp and Die set - with VersaMark. Heat-emboss it with detail silver powder. Trim it and attach it with foamdots.
Punch ¼" dots of the silver sheet in the Holiday Glitter Pad.
This design works for birthdays and other celebrations too - hope you'll try this stitched pattern. Stitching can be very relaxing, productive and therapeutic...really!
Thanks for visiting - have a safe, healthy and happy holiday!
