Showcase your construction skills with Memory Box 6x6 papers and the Poppystamps Bird House Pop-Up Easel Set. The bird house is designed to fit into an A-2 envelope but we're adding it to an A-6 card. Hi, Jean Okimoto here on a cold winter weekend that's perfect for cardmaking.
Cut the easel base from red cardstock and fold the tab backwards. Cut the house background from dark olive cardstock and attach it to the folded tab.
Cut the house from the Garland 6x6 poinsettia print. Cut the door frame from chartreuse cardstock. Cut the roof trim from the chartreuse striped Garland 6x6 sheet. Cut the snowy roof accent from the pale gold Holiday Glitter Pad sheet.
Cut the cardinal from red cardstock. The face and beak are embossed for coloring on the cardinal. It was easier for me to cut that section again from orange cardstock and use a black Sharpie to color a portion of it. Attach the cardinal with foamdots.
Cut the short pine branch and one of the long branches and attach them at the bottom of the easel. Add ¼" dots punched from the pale gold glitter pad sheet. The branches and dots will support the house when the card is displayed. Attach the house to a dark olive A-6 card. (4-½" x 6-¼")
Stamp the greeting - from the Spirit of Christmas Clear Stamp and Die Set - on bright chartreuse cardstock with Tulip Red VersaFine Clair. Dry the ink, then cut the greeting with the coordinating die.
Have fun mixing and matching our glitter, foil and holiday prints to create a card that will be enjoyed and appreciated more than ever this Christmas.
Thanks for visiting...see you again on Thursday!
