Hello, it’s Angie here today sharing a holiday card with a twist!
The poinsettia image on this card is made with Memory Box’s “Magnificent Poinsettia 3D Embossing Folder.” I started by using the folder on a white piece of card stock. After I dry embossed it, I lightly inked the flower and leaf sections with red and green Distress Inks and an ink blending tool. After I had a light coloring of inks on them, I fussy cut out the image and then added alcohol markers and colored pencils to it.
I added lots of dark colors of colored pencils to the nooks and crannies and light colors to the edges to show off the amazing details in this 3-D embossing folder!
For the background, I cut a piece of glitter paper from the “Delicate Pastel Glitter Pad” and used it for a shiny backdrop for the poinsettia. I glued it directly onto the glitter paper, then added two thin strips of black card stock on either side. The sentiment is from the “Spirit of Christmas” stamp set heat embossed in white on black card stock.
Lastly I added silver Nuvo drops to both the flower center and the sentiment strip. I wish you could see the shine of that gorgeous glitter paper - it’s amazing! There are so many beautiful colors of Memory Box glitter paper and it's nice, thick and sturdy too.
Here's one last look of my card:
Hope I’ve inspired you to try something different today. It’s always fun to see a different way to use crafty products! Thanks so much for stopping by!
