Designs from our latest Christmas collection are great for Halloween treat wrappers too! Mistletoe Swags grow into a scary tangle of twigs, cozy Cabin Collage becomes a haunted house and Little Orchard Collage sets the scene for ghosts, bats and pumpkins. Hello, Jean Okimoto here with a project inspired by a wintry fall weekend.
Cut black and dark orange cardstock into 8-½" x 3" strips. Score and crease them at 4-⅛" and 4-⅜" to form a wrapper for snack-size KitKats, chocolate bars or Mounds. Trim the corners with a corner rounder.
The Haunted Entrance Dome Layer set includes ghosts and pumpkins to cut from white and light orange cardstock. Cut the Poppystamps Whittle Pumpkins and Whittle Ghosts too. Attach black cardstock scraps behind the Whittle Ghosts and Pumpkins for their mouths.
Cut white and dark kraft cardstock with the medium-sized Geodesic Oval die. We're using the inner oval offcuts here, save the delicate oval frame for another project. Cut Little Orchard Collage from the offcuts. Cut a set of tree shapes from orange cardstock. Cut the Haunted Entrance Dome Layer bats from the offcuts too. Attach the diecuts to black wrappers.
Cut Cabin Collage from black cardstock, trim it and round the corners. Attach it to a dark kraft wrapper - don't adhere the front and back porch sides. Add the ghosts and pumpkins.
Cut two sets of Mistletoe Swags from black cardstock - we're using two of the narrower diecuts and one of the wide diecut. Attach them to the dark orange wrapper - adhere just the outer sections. Tuck the ghosts and pumpkin behind the swags.
Punch ¼" holes for the ties. Attach the candy with double-stick tape. Tie the wrappers with green tulle or netting. I used about 10" of 3" wide green netting and trimmed the ends.
Thanks for visiting...make treat wrappers, eat candy and enjoy the weekend!
