Build a Background for the Gilded Angel by Jean Okimoto

P1170660 2

Here's another mix of new dies and classic favorites designed to make the most of our Memory Box stash.  Trim the new Pinpoint Burst Plate with a Knotted Circle Wreath and create a radiant background for the Gilded Angel.  Hi, Jean Okimoto here with a detailed - but simple - card in just a few colors.

P1170687

Cut white cardstock with the largest Knotted Circle Wreath.  Cut the offcut with the central portion of the Pinpoint Burst Plate.  Wondering if you'll have a zillion little dots falling out?   No - thank goodness - the die pierces the cardstock without creating a pile of loose dots!

Cut the wreath again from Smoky cardstock and attach the interior circle behind the white circle to add contrast to the pinpoint design.  Attach the gray and white pieces to a side-folded A-2 card of Petunia cardstock.

Cut delicate Gilded Angel from the silver sheet in the new Polished Foil 6x6 Pad - save the two pieces we'll attach as accents later.   The new Memory Box Polished Foils are the perfect weight for detailed designs and you won't have any of those annoying little metallic "strings" found on double-layered foil cardstock.

Cut the solid Gilded Angel Background from the smother side of Petunia cardstock and pressure-emboss it with the detailed Gilded Angel using the plate(s) and rubber embossing mat required for your machine. Embossing the background adds dimension and makes it easy to inset and attach the detailed silver diecut.  Attach the silver diecut as an "offset-inset."

P1170677

Stamp the greeting - from the new Spirit of Christmas Clear Stamp and Die Set - on white cardstock with Orchid Brilliance.  Dry the ink, then diecut the cardstock with the smallest Knotted Circle Wreath.  Cut gray cardstock too - for the narrow crescent accents.

Use the entire design - or just a portion - of the new Pinpoint Plates for cards, layouts and mixed medial projects.  Layer them over contrasting cardstock to make the designs stand out. View our growing collection of pinpoint dies and create great holiday and everyday greetings!

Thanks for visiting...see you again this weekend!

This is such a sweet card, Jean!

Lovely angel card! The knotted circle wreath and pinpoint burst dies make the perfect background. Merci!
