Halloween Pumpkins on Patterned Papers
by Anne Thompson

I love the new HALLOWEEN PUMPKIN Clearstamp/Dies set CL5264-D!  (You can find this set and one with just the stamps--CL5264--in the Memory Box catalog under New Releases, 2020 Christmas.)  I chose to use stamps and their corresponding dies to create several Halloween cards by stamping the images on Memory Box patterned papers.

I'm showing this one first because it is my favorite of the three I made.  Love that plaid paper!

I started by choosing papers from the CHRISTMAS PLAID PP1009 pad and from GARLAND STRIPES AND DOTS PP1011 to use for the pumpkins and acorn/oak leaf images.  I used VersaFine Clair Pinecone (brown) ink to stamp them on several of the patterned papers.

I used colored pencils to add shading to the pumpkins and color to the leaves, stems, and acorns.

I knew I wanted to add dimensional foam tape to the plaid images and I wanted a stiffer paper so I adhered the plaid  paper to white cardstock before die cutting the images.  At this point I also stamped the small rectangular frame and added "HAPPY HALLOWEEN" inside.  Then I die cut everything on the three papers.

To assemble the plaid pumpkin card, I added an orange striped paper to a white notecard and adhered the pumpkin with dimensional foam tape.  I used more of that tape on the sentiment banner.  And I attached the single acorn/oak leaf with glue dots.  I put the extra strip of plaid paper on the inside of the card.

Here are the three finished cards.  I stamped "HAPPY HALLOWEEN" directly on the striped and dotted pumpkins.  I placed the orange dot paper pumpkin on a red/green/white plaid on a white notecard and tucked the acorn/oak leaf under the right bottom edge of the pumpkin.  I arranged the orange striped pumpkin on a green plaid paper adhered to a kraft notecard and attached the acorn/oak leaf in the bottom left corner using Glue Dots.  Then I stamped and colored the acorn/oak leaf above  the stamped "HAPPY HALLOWEEN" on three envelopes.

Ta-Da!  Three cards that Mom will enjoy sending to her friends this October!

Happy Crafting!
