Hello and welcome! I have two cards for you today made with just one of the large beautiful wreaths from Memory Box's "Berry Wreath" stamp set. My first card above used a larger portion of the wreath and my second card used the left over piece for a more clean and simple look.
I stamped the wreath on an oversized piece of black card stock then embossed it in gold. Here's a look at the nine colored pencils I used:
On the leaves and berries I left the darkest parts black, adding the darkest shades of green/red, progressively getting lighter toward the ends of the leaves and to one side of the berries. After laying down a little color from dark to light, I went back over each area where the colors met and blend them a little. You can also color light to dark as shown below on the right side:
I added white colored pencil to the lightest areas. Here's the complete colored wreath:
To create cards, I cut the wreath with the second largest "Wrapped Stitched Rectangle" die and matted it on the largest die from the same set, cut from white card stock.
I heat embossed the sentiment from "Spirit of Christmas" stamp set on vellum and cut it with "Stitched Circle Layers" die, cutting a 2nd circle from white for the mat.
With tiny dots of glue on the back of the vellum under the letters, you can't see the adhesive from the front. For a finishing touch I added Glossy Accents to the berries.
Here's another look at the card:
Here's my second card that I made with the left over portion of the wreath:
There was a thin left over black strip from the wreath to use on my 2nd card. Using my Misti, I lined up the wreath with the gold embossing so I could re-stamp the wreath on white card stock. After lining it up I closed the lid on my Misti, removed the black piece and stamped the whole wreath on the white card base.
Then all I had to do was line the black strip up with the white part of the stamp and adhere it to the card. I used the same sentiment and circle dies for this card.
The wreath stamp from the "Berry Wreath"stamp is large and I love that you can get several Christmas cards from one stamp! So many possibilities with this stamp...maybe divide the wreath however you like, or use just half of the wreath on each card - so many options!
I hope you like my idea of splitting the large stamp into several different Christmas cards and hope I've inspired you to try something new!
Happy crafting and thanks so much for stopping by!
