Stitched Tree Die
by Donna Sledzik

Good morning everyone! Welcome to day 3 of  Memory Box's Blog Blitz.  Today I used the new Stitched Tree Craft Die for my cards. There's a chance for you to win prizes by leaving a comment on each blog post this week.

For my cards I used the same technique of die cutting the tree onto kraft cardstock and used embroidery floss to fill in the design.  Just by changing the background papers and adding a few embellishments you get totally different looks. I am showing you only one idea to stitch this tree, but there are so many more ways to use this die and I'm sure I'll be back with a few more ideas for you!

I die cut my tree onto a larger piece of kraft cardstock and then trimmed my background as needed for my card.

For this sample I kept the design simple.  I thought it could be used for a more masculine card. The sentiment was white heat embossed onto the black cardstock mat.

For the second card I added a few more embellishments and gold heat embossed the sentiment.  I used the plaid paper to give it a more country look.

I hope you enjoyed today's cards and don't forget to check back all week for some more great inspiration!

Would you like a chance to win the new Stitched Tree Die?  Leave a comment to this post by Sunday, August 9th at 11:59pm EST.  One comment will be chosen at random to win the die.  Winners from the blitz will be posted on the Outside the Box blog on Monday, August 10th at 6pm EST.  Good luck!  One comment/entry per person per day.

What an awesome stitched die. The tree looks amazing and adds all the texture that you need on a card! Love!

What a fun new die this is! Takes me back to how I started in crafting ... cross stitching. Beautiful card!

What fun! I cannot wait to use this die! Thank you

Great job on both cards!
I especially like the second card, the Gold embossing with the Plaid background and the Red ornaments really stands out!
So many possibilities with this die, thanks for sharing and for the opportunity to win!

Great Christmas cards! I love this clean and simple look with the stitched trees.

The white stitching looks great on the craft cardstock. Very fun cards!

Oh I love stitching on cards, I do mostly cross -stitch but this looks like it would be nice and quick but give that great extra touch of stitching!

Love these cards! So many cute ideas!

Wow this is a different idea! You can really personalize thus one!

Oh wow--I'm not commenting for most of the dies as I have so many. I'll let others be in the running, but can't pass on this fabulous tree! I love combining stitching with cardmaking! Your cards are fabulous!

Charming cards. I like how you could change it up by varying the thread and the order you stitch the holes. Could be a good Christmas project for kids too.

Very cool die, looks like it can be simple or complicated. Great inspiration pieces!
