Let's make another card using one of the three Leafy Jumble Stencil backgrounds we created in my previous post. It's the original Distress Oxide-inked sheet of Open Studio Watercolor Paper. Hi there, Jean Okimoto here with the second of three cards we're making using a variation of a great Jennifer McGuire technique.
Use the Leafy Jumble Stencil and a water-spritzed sheet of Open Studio Watercolor Paper to lift the inks from a heavily-inked sheet of watercolor paper. Repeat the lifting with a second sheet of watercolor paper for another background.
Stencil VersaMark onto the original inked paper and heat-emboss it with detail clear powder to create the background for today's card. Cut it with the 3" x 4-¼" Rectangle Basics die.
Cut white cardstock with the large Poppystamps Flora Blooms die. Attach a scrap of the yellow glittered cardstock from the 6"x6" Twinkling Jewel Glitter Pack behind the flower.
Cut Birthday Cursive Script Circle from yellow cardstock - leave the teeny dot over the "i" in the die until you're ready to attach it to the background.
Stamp "greetings" - from the Cherry Blossom Wreath Clear Stamps and Die Set - on yellow cardstock with Shady Lane VersaFine Clair. Dry the ink, then trim the cardstock with the smallest Rectangle Basics die. Cut the excess off the short end with the side of a larger rectangle die for a nice trimmed edge.
Attach everything to a top-folded white A-2 card - position the Birthday Cursive Script Circle so the dot over the "i" can be securely attached to an area that's not embossed and glossy. Add ¼" punched circles of the yellow Twinkling Jewel glittered cardstock.
